Barn Burner of a game boys. Judging from watching the 2 teams play Saturday I am going to give the edge to Hibbing. Virginia played with not much of a pulse on Saturday and Virginia goalie was fighting the puck a bit. I am certain that Virginia will not sleep walk into this one and be all guns blazing for Wednesday night. Hibbing to me looks confident in what they are doing and the coaches have those kids doing all the little things well. Smothering play throughout and forcing the opposition. It will be an old IRC dogfight to be sure. Hard to pick this one but I think right now Hibbing has a slight edge in momentum. 3-2 thriller.

This is the best preview I've read so far with the falls fans still bickering and Virginia fans all up on their high horse. You hit the nail right on the head. For the first time I feel completely confident Hibbing will win. In past years there's always been that shadow of doubt in the back of my mind. This year, as long as Hibbing plays like they did against the falls, will be a different story.northwoods oldtimer wrote:Barn Burner of a game boys. Should be a great game between two of the biggest rivals in northern Minnesota behind Warroad-Roseau...Both teams are fantastic teams..couldn't be a better matchup to have as the section finals. I'm going with Hibbing in a close one..4-3 in overtime. Best of luck to both teams. May the best team win.

I think Hibbing can go father down there. Their coaches have way more experience down thererangefan wrote:lets hope that both teams come and play their best hockey, should be a hell of a game, both teams are great to represent section 7a and northern Minnesota/Iron Range.
