My question had nothing to do with the best option; it was regarding the hypocrisy.Irish wrote:Hi InigoMontoya- To answer your question: Flat out do what's best for your son and family.InigoMontoya wrote:Stick with the made.???I get a kick out of people that know what's best for your son.
In this situation. Sounds like the family loves hockey. If so, do you think his son will learn more playing 30 hours of hockey or 85 hours of hockey? Not to mention he'll be skating with stronger skaters. Honest question. Not trying to be disrespecful.
I realize there's Minnesota Made bashers out there. Every one has a right to their opinion. In this case I hope the people bashing Minnesota made actually experienced skating at the Made. You know what? It is a business, and they do make money. At the Mite level it's the best place in the State of Minnesota. Just my opinion.

My son played a couple of Choice seasons and it was great. One thing to prepare yourself for though. Sounds like you kid has to be one of the youngest kids playing there. A lot of kids will enter in a year or two that follow the typical path where Johnny doesn't even think about hockey until age 5-6, they spend a year or so at association then head over to Choice. These kids are at a clear noticeable lower level then your son will be if he started Choice at age 5. Make no mistake though, you will be amazed at the marked improvement these slightly older to start kids will make. The ones that had been there for a year or two more that would go coast to coast routinely, find things to be much different by age 8 or so when the field catches up quickly to the gains some had by starting sooner. Just don't get caught up thinking it will always be that easy and set yourself up for a downer.
