KRACH had it this way as of this AM:
http://www.bgoski.com/KRACH_SEC_20130202.htm
8 Hill-Murray 16-5-3 174.114 AA 4
16 Roseville 17-7-0 96.531 AA 4
23 Cretin-Derham Hall 15-10-0 58.106 AA 4
25 Stillwater 13-10-1 56.572 AA 4
54 North St. Paul 12-9-2 13.119 AA 4
56 White Bear Lake 5-14-5 12.756 AA 4
65 Tartan 12-11-1 7.632 AA 4
86 Minneapolis 11-13-1 2.198 AA 4
97 St. Paul Blades 5-17-1 0.948 AA 4
The voters inverted SW/CDH for 3/4 and Tartan/WBL for 6/7.

Politics? Positioning ones team to do well...sinbin wrote:So how are section seedings determined? Meeting of coaches, everyone pleading their case, best overall record, best KRACH/other ranking systems, head-to-head, intangibles, voting and re-voting, etc.?
My memory is fading, but this was how I remember 10 of these sessions going:
1) Consider head-to-head
2) Common opponents (score diff if similar W/L/T results)
3) Strength of schedule & overall record
4) Other accomplishments and/or extenuating circumstances faced
(Computerized rankings were rarely, if ever, discussed)
Coaches rank every team but their own, usually high and low ranks are thrown out as to not skew the average.
Coaches usually were able to first give a couple minute high-level summary of their season and where they see their team falling.
These were sometimes frustrating, sometimes funny, or somewhere inbetween.
I remember my first seeding mtg (back when there was only one class - so about a dozen teams per section) and everyone was making their 2 minute talk about the four items above and then came the coach of a small-school team with little to say about on-ice accomplishments. He simply said "we're really good in the classroom"
That's what I recall anyway.
