Another one "The Don" missed. Guess he doesn't want too many Edina kids because all they do is win.

I love how people think don missed on some kids. Ever think some kids maybe want to go other places?

And I think "the don" has the program in a decent place right now. And should just be better the next few years.

And I hear rumors that Notre Dame offers a pretty decent education.

Good choice. Mariucci isn't a good fit for his game.

Skating is not his strong suit... good hands, but glides all over the rink...

Have you seen the strong list of kids we have committed to the U...? "The Don" has a stable full of studs coming.... There is not enough room on any one college team for all the good kids we produce in Minnesota... You try to get the kids that fit the system you employ on the ice... Below is the commitment list for the U of M Gophers...

Scott Reedy-RW 5/28/2014 2017 Shattuck St.Mary's
Sam Rossini-LD 5/12/2014 2016 or 2017 Waterloo (USHL)
Ryan Zuhlsdorf-D 4/29/2014 2016 or 2017 Edina
Brannon McManus-RW 4/27/2014 2017 Shattuck St.Mary's
Logan Halladay-G 3/11/2014 2015 or 2016 Bloomington (USHL)
Tyler Sheehy-RW 2/16/2014 Waterloo (USHL)
Tarek Baker-LW 9/23/2013 2015 or 2016 Des Moines (USHL)
Ryan Edquist-G 8/27/2013 2016 Shattuck St.Mary's
Rem Pitlick-W 8/20/2013 2016 Shattuck St.Mary's
Ryan Norman-LW 5/28/2013 2016 Shattuck St.Mary's
Ryan Lindgren-RD 4/29/2013 2016 USNDP U17 Team
Tom Novak-LW 3/14/2013 2015 or 2016 Waterloo (USHL)
Jack Ramsey-RW 10/30/2012 Penticton (BCHL)

...forgot to mention the kids coming this year...

2 top 50 projected defensemen in NHL draft - Collins & Glover...
A stud from Sweden... and by most accounts, all our guys returning from last year's runner up season...

Promising, very promising...

Most people within Edina believe Kieffer will run the college route. Would be pretty shocked if he went to the WHL.
As for the guy that asked about BU.... I think by the time Bellows is suppose to be there that they will be fine. They had a coach in his first year plus a young team. Next year they return many of their top forwards and bring in a top 3 draft pick most likely in Jack Eichel for 2015.

Eichel will be a one and done. I bet he never plays a game with Bellows on the team.

I'm not sure I'd say anything negative about Lucia and Co. in reference to Bellows. The Gophers beat out BC and BU for an elite 1998 Swedish forward hours before Bellows committed to BU.

You have to make decisions and move forward. These teams don't have dozens of scholarships to give out for every recruiting class.

I'm sure Bellows will do well at BU. Congrats to him.

thats half my point. the guy Pointing out how they were poor this year means about as much to when bellows joins the team as BU's probably success with Eichel for the up coming year.

When BU plays the other Hockey East schools, the opposing schools' student section chants: "It sucks to BU." Another favorite chant: "BU, BU, that's where you go when you can't get into BC." Boston is a great college and hockey town. If Kiefer makes it to Boston, he'll enjoy the experience.

My comments were in defense of don and the team he is piecing together. I get sick of people blaming him for a good kid that goes elsewhere.

So I was referring to this year not when bellows would be there.

Will be interesting to see if/where he fits in D-core with Reilly, Brady, Bisch, Brodzy and Marshall all returning, along with the arrival of Collins and Glover.

Good problems to have.
