Taking STA here. They have one of the best top lines in the state and a freshmen phenom in net. They're going to be a tough out for the teams left. My favorite to win it all of the teams still standing.

Gotta agree rr. I've seen both of these teams play and STA is consistent in all areas of play. Planning on being there.

Those goals at the end of the period can really kill you. Rosemount out played STA the first period, end with a 1-0 lead. I believe STA had 3 shots and that included a power play. Good for the Irish.

Shots 6-3...

2-1 Rosemount

Pointless stat of the day--Rosemount's last (and only) state trip was seven years before STA's first one.

Congrats to Rosemount. Upsets keep coming lol.

Edit: no that wouldn't be an upset, would it? To me it was hahaha.

I didn’t see that coming. St. Thomas is a really good team obviously. Gotta tip your hat sometimes.

Congrats to Rosemount! Seems like the Irish set the trap and St. Thomas fell right in. Impressive win, STA looked very good late in the season. Fun to see some fresh blood.

Color me shocked! Rosemount did a great job of locking down STA. Seemed like STA had some trouble moving the puck around with their sticks too. Wonder if the Irish had a chip on their shoulder from all the chatter of being the #1 seed over STA?

The way the Rosemount kids and the players were beating on the glass when the game ended there, that might be the last time The Andy hosts a section game. You get to play in a brand new $183M arena, you might want to act like you want to come back.

Were all of the suites sold out?

Looked like they were going to snap at least 3-4 sections and land right on their faces. Too many kids these day with no respect for anything. Some of the suites were not made available.

I like the chances of whomever plays Rosemount in the first round, especially if its a team with a lot of experience being there.

So, same theory that you had for the section final?

I've seen it many times. This was Rosemount's mountain to top and they did it. It will be hard for them to get up that emotion next week. I could certainly be wrong, we'll see.

Yep, nine days of rust. Give me a Friday night final every time.

Might be Rosemount vs. Hill in the 4/5 game, if Edina wins, which would be an interesting game. Could still see Edina getting the 3 seed over Rosemount, unless Rosemount coaching can use their special powers like they did in the section seeding...lol
