Correction: That should be 11 goals on 96 power plays, & Moorehead had 2 of 6 PP.
This is just a point of interest, not who clearly dominated the game. (MH)
At one point during the season H M went 9 straight games without allowing a single Power Play Goal.

I want to hear from AP. Will someone please have the common courtesy to go and check up on him to make sure he is ok. Last I heard a couple passerbys claimed that there was a loud crying noise coming from his house. I hear he was even crying when he was reviewing the 1991 state championship game for the 60th hour straight.
I'M WORRIED
Great job Moorhead. Hopefully you beat Hill Murray again at state. (that is if they make it)

In case any of you northerners haven't seen Hill-Murray's little anthem stunt,
here it is (they're obviously in white).

Moorhead played a great game. Their passing in the offensive zone is easily the best I've seen all year. They forechecked Hill-Murray right into the bleachers. This is a good example of how shots on goals can be very misleading. Hill-Murray only had a couple of times when they maintained their forecheck. They were completely outclassed by the Spuds. The only team that is in the same class as them would be West Metro All "Stars".

For me, without question, the two best teams I've seen this year are the Spuds & AHA (with Tyler Mattson). I was impressed with both. It's too bad we didn't see them play each other over the Holidays, but the opportunity still looms out there. Several teams will get a chance to throw a wrench into this senerio, but I think it would make for a wonderful state title game.

Well I may be better able to post the differences between Moorhead and Holy Angels as I've seen my beloved Pioneers lose to both. Moorhead has the team speed to keep up with Holy Angels and a little better size, but I don't believe they have the goaltending. Hill's 3 goals were decent, but could have been saved. There is no doubt Moorhead out-classed Hill-Murray by quite a bit. But so did Holy Angels. It would take a perfect night for Hill-Murray to beat either team this year. That said, I think Holy Angels would get enough quality shots on net to outscore Moorhead. Maybe we'll get to see that in the state finals as they will easily be the top two seeds at state if the make it through sections...
