So, if Warroad and Moorhead both win does that mean Nostradumb(_!_)ss was wrong? :D

There was only one good part about Monday nights game was the way trf showed up to play. They look very good on the power play. egf had an embarrassing loss. trf fans were an embarrassment. And the refs were an embarrassment.

egf lost there composure and were frustrated in part by the way the game was called. The Warroad Crew tried to keep the penalties even and in doing that let a lot go on way or the other depending on who need the next power play. It started in the first 4 minutes.

Secondly I can't believe how careless the trf student section was. I thought the boards or glass was going to come down the way they were shaking them. I'm surprised security was not brought down. I could see a 2 inch gap between the boards and glass from the flex in the boards. If I were egf I would not let the trf fans back in the building after the second time that happening this year. At least keep them a few rows back off the glass. I could not see any trf school officials at the game, do they not come to the game to keep their students under control?

All in all a very bad game to watch, I'm still thinking about not making the drive Thurs. after that showing I wish I could’ve stayed home and watched the 5AA, 6AA games on TV.

What :?: Both the Athletic Director and Principal were in attendance. I happen to be sitting near the students and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Sounds like someone is being a sore loser. The fans i.e. student section, performed the usual chants (season's over, nana goodbye,etc..)

That is just dumb...Not letting them in because they hurt your feelings, get real. Maybe the EGF coaches and fans should be more worried about the fact that your team can't take a loss with class.

The calls that were made all night were blatent penalties. The play got very chippy as the TRF lead mounted. The game was officiated fairly.

No Way.

You're way ahead.

I screw up on this board all the time.

I'm just an old EGF player who was really upset with the way the EGF players got very unsportsmanlike in this game.
I know they have a new coach, but he needs to get control, obviously.

TRF proved to be the better team in the end and probably should have been the #2 seed anyway.
Bottem is a pretty darn good player.
I remember playing against a Bottem. Jeff, I believe. Is this his kid?

Best of luck to the Prowlers.
I believe, after this game, that they would represent Section 8 very well as would the Warriors at the Excel.

Wild4hockey, if you didn't notice the boards shaking after the game was over and the bottles and garbage thrown on the ice then you obviously couldn't have been at the game. I seen the trf fans on Friday warned once and moved the second time they were shaking the boards, yet they still did it on Monday night. Chants and hats on the ice are part of the game and does not hurt anything. But when fans start trying to destroy property and throw garbage on the ice, something should be done about it and obviously nothing was.

And about being a sore loser, I didn't lose, I wasn't cheering for anyone in particular, I was at the game and was commenting and what a terrible game overall it was to watch.

Yes all the calls made were blatant calls and i agreed with all of them, but before the score was lopsided there was way to many non-calls both ways trying to even the PP opportunities. This is what I believe resulted in the frustration to the team behind. Scoring opportunities to both teams were taken away with no calls being made and you know as well as I do, if your losing scoring chances when you haven’t scored yet is a lot tougher to let go than if your winning and get them taken away. After the first 5 minutes of the third, when egf gave up, all the penalties given out were deserved but too late as the game got out of hand and the refs had to play catch up. Egf took some stupid penalties and hopefully a lesson was learned by the players and coaches.

Well I guess that is what I get for leaving with :35 seconds to go. You are right, they shouldn't have done that!

I have an uncle named Jeff, too. :D He played for Da Prowlers back in the day. Pretty good hockey coach now.
