Well boys, The Eagles will be a formidable foe and by a large margin the best team CDH has played all year.

But coach Grant will have his hands full with the CDH air attack and even if he slows it down , they have a couple of guys who can light it up in the backfiled.

EP has not faced this kind of an offense all year.

If one team gets up by 3 touchdowns, stay put because I think the scoreboard will be blowing out some light bulbs.

I can see why you guys would root for EP. I mean they only have about 3,000 kids and most are underprivileged.

And Govs, to answer your question: Quite a few walk but some drive. I know one who takes the bus.
But I get your point..we need a better mass transit system

Well, I think you'll have to agree with me here, PB, and say that this is a complete and total crock of crap. I mean, honestly... We're supposed to put any credence into what the Red Star has to say?!

Here I've doubted your stance on that rag all this time, but you've sold me on it based on this article! They're clearly out of their collective minds.

I hope the fisheaters take it to the cakeaters, but c'mon PB, CDH has far more than 3,000 kids to draw from.......more like 30,000.

Ah BIAFP, they can only cram about 1400 into the school and half of them are girls.

Where do you get this "draw from 30,000" nonsense? There are 500 8th graders that apply for admission every year. Thats what they have to draw from. How many 8th graders are there in EP? And EP takes all of them

CDH doesnt have any advantages over EP nor any other big public school that they havent earned through a long history of excellence.

CDH is "Minnesota's Team".

WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING.

I thought the Prep Bowl was Friday - what good does it do me to wait until Thanksgiving?

No need to worry about all of those little things AY. Leave that to ole packerboy.

Just get on board with Minnesota's Team and enjoy the ride.

Doozie of a logo they've sketched out for the Prep Bowl this year:

I'm guessing it was the handywork of a public school kid.

Yup, in fact a study was conducted at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure that it was politically correct.

The first sketches of the work were done under a bridge.

Do they list the HOME TOWNS of the players on the CDH roster in the program? It would be interesting to see where all this talent was developed. Not a rip on the school as I wish my kids had an option like CDH in my community.

Gosh BIAFP, what a great idea.

Especially if you area so called "Brainerd" fan.

•School District Enrollment: 7,150 students
•Total Square Miles: 750
•The communities our District encompasses:
Baxter
Brainerd
East Gull Lake
Fort Ripley
Garrison
Lake Shore
Merrifield
Nisswa
Pine Center

And not a knock on huge conglomerates such as Brainerd. Wish CDH could draw from so many different communities.

Twin Cities? Why stop there? I believe when I played, they dragged Carl McCullough up here from Texas, did they not?

Maybe I've got the wrong guy, but I know they found some RB in the early-mid 90's from Texas and brought him here to conveniently live with his dad right after Jr. High.

We didn't recruit Texas... we recruited Liberia and got Thomas Tapeh!

As far as I remember, the Govies did not recruit him.

Now, can you list the hometowns of the CDH players as first asked?

To say the least... Notable alum:

Herb Brooks
Warren Burger
Louie Anderson
Thomas Tapeh
Crazy Cabbie (attended but did not graduate - most famous for tax evasion and this stunt regarding Brett Favre that got him fired from KQRS).

Minnesota's Team has such broad appeal that really the entire world is its base.

Its really universal....hey, how bout that. A Catholic school with universal appeal.

The public school conglomerates have been exposed here together with their hokey "hometown" shtick.

Hey Govs, how do you think your guys will do against Harding this year?

Unfortunately for the once great Knight hockey program, PB, as I'm sure you're aware, the neighborhood Harding resides in has become a hotbed for southeast Asian and Somali immigrants who - for some reason - tend not to have much interest in ice hockey.

Now, if they had a seemingly endless budget to go out and "sell" themselves to every corner of the metro in search of players, they might still be able to still field a team.

"Seemingly endless budget"

Sounds to me a lot like the money pit that is the public school system.

Metal detectors cost a lot of money. Whats your point?
