Also, I see Blake knocked off the mighty Blue yesterday, any report on that game?
This may be a biased opinion, but anyways mineetonka was missing 3 players and a goalie due to JV tryouts. This could have reaulted in a loss of energy, even more so when they got a checking from behind penalty. But anyways a loss is a loss, to bad they loss their HEP point as well

Guru,
Do you know if any of those Tonka players made JV? This seems to be a growing fad, I have heard of a lot of Bantam A/B players trying out for HS this year.

the goalie and 1 skater made it but both of them decided to play for their bantam team

Should be interesting I haven't seen the AV Bantam A's play since they lost their goalie to Varsity, The Bantam A's are a young group and a year away, hopefully the B1 game will good before that I'll be at both.

Yeah, basically AV defense is pretty bad and slow. The goalie made as many saves as he could I thought he played okay. Tonka is fast and have good stick handling. Didn't help that AV's best player got a check from behind called against him. Tonka is a good team though.

Taxi,
Not much info on the two teams coming in. The Lincoln, NE team is their top team in their association. They appear to have four teams so my guess is that they will be competitive. Burnsville first round is a tough draw though.
Northern Colorado is their "A" level team. NoCo has "AA" as their highest level, so this is their 15-30 skaters within their association. Again, no game history or competition against MN teams to compare their skill level.
That's what will make this tournament interesting is these "mystery teams" and how they will compete. Will they run the table? or be overmatched?
We market our tourney to bring in out-of-state, out of country teams to make things interesting. Last year we had teams from Illinois and Ontario. This year we have two teams coming from Colorado and the one from Nebraska.
I will update as for some reason I end up spending a lot of time at the rink during this tournament.

Woodstick...
Re: Richfield vs. MPLS*Park....even battle with the goalies playing well on both ends. (disclosure - my kid is the goalie so I am biased!). Game could have gone either way. These two teams should battle for the D1 title.
