Re: Edge to Burnsville
I can't imagine that after a loss to EP, Rosemount will loose this game against Burnsville. They will shorten their bench and do whatever it takes. Morgan needs to step up and Rosemount needs scoring from their second line. Both teams have excellent 1st lines and their 1st line power play lines are very good. Straight up, they are equal with first lines Burnsville plays a solid game, Rosemount has cleaned thier game up. This should be a very good game. Special teams will probably dictate with winner in this match up. EP has to defeat Jefferson at home, which is a tough task and play on the road against Lakeville. Eastview is outside, looking in. If EP wins out, they will win the title, if Rosemount wins. If they split, its probably Burnsville.
Good recap-

What is the Jefferson scenerio?

Looking at the scores and updates right now Jefferson is up 1-0 going into the third vs. EP great news for the irish if Jefferson can get a W Rosemount still has a chance for the lake. Come on Jefferson!!!!!

Jefferson beats Eden Prairie...

Burnsville clinches atleast a share of the Lake Conference title.

Rosemount a game behind looks to get a piece of the pie.

Rosemount vs. Burnsville Saturday. This is going to be a fun game to watch. This is how the regular season of high school hockey should end.

the ep jefferson game tonight was a good one. even though both are out of the race for the lake title they will be back in it next year. both these teams have great returning defensemen for next season. i was especially impressed with lil number 4 from jefferson tonight, hes a great player. tommy odonell was shut down tonight. he kind of looked unoticed even though his team got the win..none of eden praires forwards stuck out to me and yes that even includes dirty dave. to bad he didnt get a chance at an open net but eps defensemen are where they generate all of there offense. it was a great game and glad i was able to attend

Saturdays game is going to be fricken crazy the Irish faithful will be there for sure tommorow night along with the rest of Rosemount...if you even want a parking spot you better just watch a decent JV game other wise you are gonna park far away my guess for the score of this one is Irish 5 B-ville 4...and we all know this is gonna be a battle of 1st lines and brown percy and porter will outshine Barnes, Hendo, and perisec (SP) this one is gonna be sick!

If Rosemount thinks they only have to be concerned about B'villes 1st line they could be in for a long night. All 3 lines are scoring at a tremendous pace. There 2nd power play unit is scoring more then there 1st. Burnsville is a very deep team. They have scored 117 goals ( same as the Irish ) and given up only 49 ( way less then the Irish ). This should be a whale of a game with Burnsville playing there best and Rosemount stumbling to the finish line. I believe Burnsville will be the holder of the lake crown all by there selves the end of the day on Saturday.

All i know is that is has been one heck of a year for the Lake Conference and people are certainly not doubting that this conference is the most talented....this race that we have been watching since day 1 is exactly what the conference needed after last year when some people thought that the Lake was losing it's touch

Also if you get there to see the JV game it will be a blowout. Burnsville JV is GOOD. And Rosemount looks like theyll be falling back off the map for another 20 years.

I wouldn't say they are gonna be crappy next near, but they should have close to a .500 record or so. Next batch of kids that look to be ok are this years Pewee and squirt A's. Nothing big, but its their better teams in the program....so with that said, I would say 4-5 years from now they may have some sort of chance.

Congrats to Burnsville as Lake Conference champs. They finished of the season playing well and beat Rosemount to win the conference.

The Lake has the chance to be represented by 4 sections in the state tournament. Wouldnt that be something!

1AA-Lakeville South, Lakeville North-very bad section but also very competitive. With the way Ive seen South beat North I have to imagine they will win it
2AA-Jefferson, Kennedy, Burnsville, Chaska-Jefferson and Burnsville are the only shots but they will play each other in the semis so one of them will have to knock off Edina/AHA but with the way Burnsville is playing right now I wouldnt be the least bit surprised.
3AA-Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount-Rosemount is the 1 seed and is probably expected to win but with the way they are playing and the talent Eastview has they could win it also.
6AA-Eden Prairie-This section probably is the least likely to have a Lake team represent, not because EP isnt good enough but because they will mostly likely have to beat BSM and Minnetonka.

Not saying that a Lake team is going to win each section they can but I know Ill be pulling for it and in at least two of them (1AA and 3AA) I think there will be a Lake team for sure. In 2AA there is definately a chance and in 6AA, well, c'mon EP.

without doing any research, tell me who won the lake last year? past 5 years?

I know I couldn't tell you and I follow high school hockey pretty intently. I guess what I'm trying to say is, no one will remember who won the Lake Conference in the 2007-2008 season in a few years, if not next year.
