Flyers win this one 5-3 with Sperl having a great game getting ready for St. Paul and STA

Alex vs LF

I have seen Hemmingway at his best and if he plays his best alex has a great chance to win. Alex defense is very young but they have gotten alot better over the course of the year. i think Alex has more depth but LF has more firepower but you cant win if you cant score. Alexandria has waited long enough for the boys to go back to st paul and will ride the emotional wave of the girls state title. Alex 3-2 in overtime. Alex makes it to state for first time since 96.

Flamer go back and get some glasses, dude LF out played Apollo, and thats all there is to it, oh and well there might have been blood, but it was never mine.
hey PukePlayer, yeah that blood wasn't yours what was I thinking  We established on a different thread earlier that you are to drunk to have ever played hockey :P I hope the floaters stink the place up like you do PukePlayer

I'm gonna say 4-2 Flyers. LF's 1st line fire power is very very good and LF's lines aren't that top heavy. It's going to be a battle. But i think Alex is going to have play there game of the year because Little Falls is gonna come out strong.

little falls' first line is no question the best line between the two teams. If they have their way this game will not be close at all...but the way i see it this is a game that will be closer than anyone thinks.....i'm going to go on a limb here and say LF goes up 2-0, alex comes back to make it 2-2, LF goes up 3-2, alex ties it 3-3,and in the 2nd overtime Tyler Resch scores from alex to give them the win 4-3. Call me crazy but im bored its 1230

You are correct. With the correct combination of upsets it is possible for LF to get a top four seed. My problem is with people who are doing the exact opposite of what your point is and coming on here and saying that LF is already guaranteed a top 4 seed before they've even made it out of their section.
When Denfeld beats Cathedral tonight there will be no question. Your best argument was for Breck who is by far a longer shot (and ranked behind LF) to make state than LF so don't tell me anything about assuming LF getting out of their section because they are by far more likely than Breck. None of the big three have to lose for LF to get the four seed. I don't even believe Cathedral has to lose for that to happen but I think they will. Thanks for the backup Angus.

Small Falls 4
Alex 1

Alex “D” fiddle with the puck too much. Watch how many times they will be indecisive. They just put it behind the net back and forth. #2 will visit the box most likely also. #6 is probly the best. The game with Fergus the goals came from down low and the small Alex “D” will struggle. The shots at Alex goalie where from long distance and he will stop them all day. His size and strength close in will hinder him. Not much to flop there. Ben has always been able to walk out of the corners and drive right to the goalie. The back door will be open.

LF I believe do not do the stupid center high while on in the attack zone. A lot of teams during the year do this and that gave Alex almost free out’s with the puck due to there speed. Allot of good having your center holding the hand of the “D”?

Even numbers down low in Alex zone will give the advantage to LF.
Alex scores from a solo effort usually due to a break down and have a one on one with goalie. I don’t see this happening here.

Alex is probly the better passing team, but the shot’s are from afar and usually to the top right corner of the net form #4 on the right side circle. Again solo.

Alex will come fast, can’t say hard being their size is not there. This could be the only shot for them in a while considering Hem already committed to juniors? Young player’s family knows this and need it to happen now. Could lead to mistakes?

2.) Guarentee alex gets more than 15 shots.
I agree on the 2nd point but not the first. Here are little falls second and third line players Nelson who is a crack shot, Zack Laird who is a physical player and can put the puck in the net, Chris Sylvester the most underrated, very fast with an excellent shot and moves, Andrew Lange big physical kid with a good slapper, Jordan Gosiak another physical player sometimes plays Defensemen too, and Riley Hirsch average player needs to stop trying to play like his cousin cause his isn't as talented.
I agree with you demon, but there is one thing Gosiak is going to have to do and that is stay out of the box, I think the other teams like to get into his head, and it showed last game, oh but I think LF does the same, because Apollo sure was in the box Alot!

Very well put Flipper, your right never did play hockey on a team, but back in the day we played on the outdoor rinks, and ask some people, I know you learn probably alot more outdoors, then you do in the arenas. Oh and that smell, thats from all the KRAUT!

haha oh stealth. Hemingway has not committed to juniors yet. He has been drafted but has not said anything about going for next year. Also I dont see how it is there last shot in a while. They are an extremely young team that continues to get better and better as the season goes on. Alex should be better next year than they are this year. I just dont know where you get your facts from. But it is amusing!

Sorry stealth Im gonna have to agree with bruce on this one. Alex is a young talented team. One of the younger teams in the state actually. Which means they will probably be one of the section favorites in the next few years. Hemingway has been drafted and is not sure for his plans next year. Committed is a very strong word. Probably dont wanna just throw it around to start up rumors.

Looks like PukePlayer has to have somebody do his thinking for him, there's a shocker  Gosiak must have a big head for the other team to try to get in it.

Hemmingway is the better goalie and more consistent, but Sperl has always played good against Alex. Flyers win this one 4-2. and does it really matter if they get a top seed. Beat the best to be the best.

I agree With Stealth on almost everything he said, it seems to me hes an outsider (not from Alex or LF) and thats why he sees without biased.

well im gonna go ahead and throw my prediction out there:

Alex: 3 (ot)
Falls: 2

I think this is a pretty even match up. Teams both have there strengths and weaknesses. If alex is coached right they can pull this one off. They are a fairly balanced team so they cant just rely on 3 guys and expect them to hold little falls top line all night because that wont happen. They need to get equal production and maybe shake up the lines a little so they have 2 possible options to play against that potent line. If they do this they should be able to keep there legs fresh because as of late they have looked a little sluggish in the third period. Good luck to everyone. cant wait!!!
