I dunno, but I wish I could go back about 10 years and transfer there knowing the 97-3 female to male ratio...UpNorthStars wrote:Before you yell recruiting, name one that played last year...
Would you like to look up the record for Warroad vs Roseau over the past 20 years? I'll give you a hint, Warroad has won more than they've lost...schwang17 wrote:5 outta 6 and a bunch of laughs 20 miles west...UpNorthStars wrote:Yup, state tournament 5 of the last 6 years. So why are they scared to face Roseau when it matters?UpNorthStars wrote:Would you like to look up the record for Warroad vs Roseau over the past 20 years? agreed i think egf could defintely contend this yearTTpuckster wrote:Why so low for EGF?
Just curious.
No goalie, lost their D, not much offense. I don't see them in contention.FlyerFan12 wrote:agreed i think egf could defintely contend this yearTTpuckster wrote:Why so low for EGF?

1/2 the Section would be in contention if you opted up where you should be.UpNorthStars wrote:No goalie, lost their D, not much offense. I don't see them in contention.FlyerFan12 wrote:agreed i think egf could defintely contend this yearTTpuckster wrote:Why so low for EGF?

Yeah, you know, since enrollment means so much and all...TTpuckster wrote:School attendance:schwang17 wrote:1/2 the Section would be in contention if you opted up where you should be.UpNorthStars wrote: No goalie, lost their D, not much offense. I don't see them in contention.

By Attendance, looks like PR should opt up before EGF or Warroad.
Boy, that would be interesting.
I wonder how many games PR would win in AA?
Schwangy?
YEah it matters all about talent and PR is where is should be when it comes to that. GO HORNETS!!!!schwang17 wrote:Yeah, you know, since enrollment means so much and all...TTpuckster wrote:School attendance:schwang17 wrote: 1/2 the Section would be in contention if you opted up where you should be.

Why is Edina better then everyone? This guy is a warroad hater for sure. If Roseau was in his favorite section he would be a Roseau hater too.schwang17 wrote:TTpuckster wrote:

Where is Bemidji and why do they not dominate with their enrollment? Why is Roseau so much better than Warroad?
Those numbers are a joke. I am from the Bagley area and I know nobody has played hockey from Clearbrook in years and I don't even think there is anybody playing from Fosston either at this time. I am sure that goes for some of those other co-ops also.TTpuckster wrote:School attendance:schwang17 wrote:1/2 the Section would be in contention if you opted up where you should be.UpNorthStars wrote: No goalie, lost their D, not much offense. No disrespect but I think that's silly talk. Warroad is a top 15-20 school at the very least every year. None of the schools you listed are. If you were good enough to compete at the AA level, why would you settle for playing Class A? Especially when your so-called arch rivals and kids you grew up with are playing at a higher level than you are? Roseau won state 2 years ago and Warroad is right with them most years. They can beat Moorhead and Roseau on any given night, but they would rather play TRF, EGF, etc. knowing they have a better chance. Fine and dandy - just don't tell teams you won't play them for lack of competition.gottago wrote:I respectfully disagree that section 8a would be better without Warroad. Every sport needs a top dog for everyone else to come gunnin' for every year and Warroad has earned that status, albeit through questionable means at times. Defending champs serve as positive motivation for everyone else to achieve higher standards. If Warroad opted to move up as you suggest, who's to say Bemidji, TRF, or EGF wouldn't go on a 5 or 6 year run as Warroad has? Would you demand that their success require them to move up, too? Cudos to Roseau for opting up, but their independent decision has not and should not influence anyone else.
Are you mad they dont play PR??? Cuz after last year I don't think PR should ever be on the same ice as a Roseau, Warroad, Moorhead, TRF or any team in Section except for maybe Becker or Walker. I give Roseau props for winning but that tourney was the weakest in years. Beating Woodbury, Rochester Centurary, and Grand Rapids. When they knocked out Moorhead and when AHA got beat in sections. I expected my Young Hornets to win but they didn't.schwang17 wrote:No disrespect but I think that's silly talk. Warroad is a top 15-20 school at the very least every year. Two years ago they had an exchange stdet from Clearbrook play. There are players from Fosston including a goalie.MN Pond Hockey wrote:Those numbers are a joke.
