Big game in 1A tonight with Lourdes and A.L. playing in the Kiwanis tourney.
I'd say Lourdes is the favorite, especially in Roch. It should be a good game though.
6:45 at Graham #4.

I say Lourdes 5 Albert Lea 3
I dont think AL has the speed to keep up to Lourdes
Richfield was a pretty good team and kept skating all night and never gave up last night--#10 is a stud

Final was Lourdes 5-0.
Good first period, even game, Lourdes got one late. After that it was ALL Lourdes. Too much speed, too much depth for AL to handle.

Mark,
Why don't you call Roy and ask him yourself.

Puckhandler,
I tried to call Coach Roy and his answering machine said " He went to Winona to see if he could get the Head Coaching job. "

I watched all three of Richfield's games the last three days and they did not impress me. Got beat hard by Lourdes on Monday night. Snuck by Holy Family Catholic in a pretty chippy game from my view. They got absolutely worked against Princeton today for the first 2 periods. Played the first half of the game in their own end for the most part. Midway into the second it was 3 goals on 3 shots. They all looked like a bunch of goons out there looking for the big hit instead of playing the game.

No they're not but someone said something about Richfield being a good team so I thought I'd share my opinion.

How are the tigers looking this year, after losing some talent last year. havent been able to see them play yet? Can they contend with New Prague and Lourdes for the title?

Pond hockey champ,
I think this quote will help answer your question. If they can find a way to beat Lourdes , they might have a chance. They have there work cut out for them this year. Winona beat them, and Winona hasn't beat Albert Lea in about 8 years.
I think Albert Lea will struggle and be hot and cold this year. I think they will have trouble with big pressure games.

i think it will be tough but i think they have it in them to do it when it matters. i'd like to see that game if its for the section championship.

All-star, which games have you seen Albert Lea play this season?

LZ94,
I don't think you need to watch every game to get a good idea of how the teams are doing. You can check the stat sheets on any team at
www.mnhockeyhub.com
I try and get to at least one or two game a year. I like to pick a game that's not going to be a blow-out, like Austin , Waseca , Winona

(Not this year.)
The good home games this year should be Red Wing , Rochester Century , Rochester Lourdes ( maybe ) and Owatonna.
I will miss the Red Wing game, because I will be in Ann Arbor, MI. To watch my kid play in the JR'S top prospects tournament.
