With the Blaine win they should move up!

This has to be an all-time low for the Pioneer Press. Armstrong and Northfield ahead of Hill Murray? And Minnetonka and Edina? State Champ 97 said it best:

Instead of complaining, why don't we run our own poll? Lets take everyones top ten and average them out, and see where we end up. Here are mine, these are through out the entire state AA and A, not just the metro. Just my opinion here.

2. Roseville
3. Blake
4. Grand Rapids
5. Roseau
6. Warroad
7. Stillwater
8. Hill Murray

Why not?
Hopkins (No questions, at this time)
Stillwater (There commin...there commin)
Warroad (Played outstanding against Hill, Edina)
Hill Murray (Now that Knajdek is back)
Roseville (How long can they rely on Brausen)
Blake (Have to see more against top teams)
Edina (Still waiting for them to show their potential)
Grand Rapids (Top line and solid goaltending, but just not convinced yet)
White Bear Lake (Five on five can play with anyone, need more scoring)
Roseau (Need to play more consistent)

If you've seen them play how can you say they have no question? Lots of questions IMO....Look at their schedule.
Roseville (How long can they rely on Brausen)
Weird you'd say that--the scoring has been fairly well-balanced on this team, more so than I would've expected.
Blake (Have to see more against top teams)
True, although smoking Edina in their own tournament is impressive.
Edina (Still waiting for them to show their potential)
And they will, sooner rather than later
Grand Rapids (Top line and solid goaltending, but just not convinced yet)
No, not convinced
White Bear Lake (Five on five can play with anyone, need more scoring)
Agree

I just meant that at this time I have no question that Hopkins should be ranked #1.
With Roseville I will have to defer to your conclusion since you have probably seen more games. From the games I seen (and I should have said Brausen and Capistrandt) they appear to be the difference makers to this point. IMO, not bad players to rely on either.

No love for Blake? I've seen them a couple of times, and I think it's safe to say they belong in there somewhere!

I do like Blake and we have a number of friends there. I just think they need to admit they should be in AA - so I chose not to rank them. Nothing against the players - they are awesome.

My picks.

Stillwater

Roseville (How long can they rely on Brausen)
(I agree) the answer is probably 2010.
Grand Rapids
Roseau
Centennial tie
Edina tie
Eagan tie
Love my Bears but they lost a good player for the year and goaltending still has to come a ways. We'll find out next week against Stillwater.
