COme on now SB, you know he didn't have good game, and I have wathced him earlier this year, I think he looked SLOW last night, if you think that was fast, i hope you get to see him when he is on. To the in traffic comment- they had two or three guys on him all night long, did they not? Every time he touched the puck in the neutral zone Bededict was on him, and Lehrke's linemates do absolutly nothing. But I've watched Ravs more this year and there is no way he is better than Lehrke is, NO WAY!

Mullet, I don't think you can say there is NO WAY that Ravndalen compares to Lehrke. for one, could it be possible that Lehrke didn't look so fast against TRF because their team speed is faster than almost any other team he plays against, which subsequently makes you look faster because competition is slower. I have watched them on the same ice sheet with the best from the north and both are quick, agile, heady players in their own right.

I totally agree with Mullet.....it was a BAD game for him and a VERY slow game indeed, I guess it looked to me he didnt turn on his speed all night...and he was not playing like himself....it wasnt that TRF is faster..its just he was't on...and TRF did triple and double him anytime he touched the puck in the neutral zone...which would automatically make someone else open..but his linmates did not help him there...i know he is recovering from being pretty sick and maybe he wasnt feeling well...i really dont know....he seemed to play just fine against other faster teams like EGF and DL...and obviously SB has only seen lehrke play one time this year..maybe im wrong...every player has a bad game...and the ONE game u watched he happen to have one[/quote]

i agree with Mullet and Recruit...He was not fast last night.....the game i watched him play before....he was fast then.....even after last night i know Lehrke is a better player...Ravndalen has good qualities..but Lehrke's are better.....it took me a while to be able to tell...but honestly...I dont know how someone can see something from one bad game and come to a conclusion....they are both GREAT players and both deserve credit....

i don't know if you were referring to me with the one game comment, but as i said above, i've seen him play 3 games this year, and quite a few more of Ravndalen's games. I think Ravndalen is a better player right now and will be better at the next level as well.

PR has a cold arena and The Ralph is warm--my son use to describe it as HOT. If you don't practice and play in that environment you will slow down (to go back to the EGF/TRF/WAR Section rotation debate, another huge advantage when TRF hosts it). I heard that Lehrke did look slow, could that be why? He is a very pretty skater and deceptively fast, something the WAR boys don't have. Still, you can teach skating, but not size--something WAR has that he doesn't.

Well i hope that is the perception that the rest of the section has about Warroad. Everyone knows Marvin is just big and slow, and Ravndalen, well he's just slow to, and don't even get me started on Hahn...

so basically what you tryin to say is that u think marvin, ravndalen and hahn are so...COME ON! if u can say that then u have not seen the warriors play

I'm a bigger fan of Lehrke than just about anybody here, but I won't make excuses. He may have been sick, the rink may have been hot, but the fact is, PR lost to the better team that night in their own rink. Even if Lehrke had been full strength, I highly doubt that would have changed the outcome. I do think the Section rotation is BS, but that is another issue altogether.

I'm not gonna try and make excuses for either team but...it did look like he tried to create passes and very good ones at that....in the one other game i watched park play in..Lehrke made MANY great passes with the puck and no body is ever ready or has their stick down to catch the it. TRF is a better team, especially on their own ice. I need to watch a few more games to really see whats going on...not like im an expert..but i think it would help

not sure who lehrke plays with for sure....looking at the points on the section 8a page, zach knapp is the closest at about 21 or somethen

He was playing on a line with Knapp when I saw him. Torkelson was centering a different line.

Yeah he was a "stud" for Park Rapids. Moved to Warroad and played on the third or fourth line.

No offense to Berquist (because he puts up numbers) but he is nowhere near as good as the other two.

His name was Chris. I saw him play against TRF in sections and in that game he was on Warroads first line. I remember him going to the box, getting heckled by the TRF fans, and he pointed up at the score (Warroad won). We was a pretty Warroad skater (ie--smooth, fluid....).

yeah after watching all three play...Lehrke and Ravendale are a step or two above berquist

I fear Ravendalen won't have anyone to play with next year. Co-coaches or I mean Ravendalen's daddy (or whomever is calling the shots there ) didn't develop enough of the younger talent and wasted time with the one. With Dane's injury it'll be interesting to see what lines look like this weekend...anyone hear how long he's out???

who in the section will have more ppl to play with then Ravendalen?

He also played for Univ. of Minn-Crookston for a few years. Also, I'm pretty sure he was on the 2nd line in Warroad, not the 3rd or 4th. He was like 4th or 5th in the state in points in 2000 as a sophomore.
