Well......the chances of EP Red not getting first are extremely minimal. They need to get at least 5 points in the last 4 games that they, if Burnsville gets the maximum of 6 points in their last 2. One of those last 4 games includes a matchup v.s. Waconia, most likely a guarenteed 3 point game. So, unfortunately, Burnsville has a very small shot at overtaking the #1 spot.

Edina White beats B'ville 4-1 last night.... both teams got their HEP pts.

White never let B'ville in the game... a very strong showing as they have not been playing up to their potential as of late. A fun game to watch.

It will be a fun last few days of regualr season hockey. The playoffs will be interesting.

EP Black has 1 final game against Red on the last day of the season. Will Red help out their EP brothers so they can potentially avoid the play-in game?

Blueblood - I think there's no chance of Red helping Black out. Those two teams are way too competitive and braggin' rights in town are a big deal.

Does anyone know how the tiebreak works. For example, two teams finish with the records of

10-2-2 and 10 FP pts for a total of 32 pts

9-3-2 and 12 FP pts for a total of 32 pts

Does the team with more wins get the number 1 seed or does the fairplay point determine the tie break. With referees being the major factor deciding the fairplay points it would be completely wrong to tie break based on someones mood and an unfair distribution of refs.

Anyone know how this works or has anything to add?

I points are tied, the tie breaker is the # of wins.

In case of a tie for any position in the final league standings, district seeding will be determined by applying the following criteria in order of definition:

16.2.1 Head to head competition among the tied teams, determined by points (2 for a win, 1 for a tie, 1 Fair Play point). The position of each team is determined in order of highest total point count, regardless of the number of times the tied teams met in league play.

16.2.2 Most wins in League play.

16.2.3 Fewest losses in League play.

16.2.4 Most Fair Play points earned in League play.
16.2.5 Largest goal differential among tied teams. (six goal max per game).

16.2.6 Greatest quotient; goal for divided by goals against among the tied teams.

16.2.7 Largest goal differential for all league play. (six goal max per game).

Not so fast their FF, that may apply to some districts but not D6. This is taken from the D6 rulebook:

wow i still dont get it so if you were to play a team twice in districts and they won once and you won once it would go to the combined number of points you earned in those 2 games (or tied) example EP is tied with chaska at 30 points and they both split the games but chaska dident get there HEP point in one of the games so EP got 4 points and chaska got 3 points in total EP would get the nod and get the tie breaker.?

what if there are 3 teams tied?

There may be an issue with 3 tied teams if they all didn't play each other home and away.

In that case it may go to step 2, most wins

o way to confusing for me the simple way just go to most goals for with your tieing team but they have to make it that way

WOW!! It's almost as complicated as trying to determine teams for NFL playoffs.

The problem with using most goals is then teams will feel the need to run up the score in fear of losing a tie breaker at some point. I coached a team years ago that lost out on first place with an auto bye to regions b/c we did not let our players run up the score and the team that one the tie breaker would continually run up scores. There is never an easy way to solve tie breakers...

what i was saying is between the two team for example chaska could tie edina white if they win and chaska and edina both split first game 3-0 edina second game 6-2 chaska

so the tie breaker would go to chaska becasue they out scored edina 6-5 in the two games

The question was stated that if the points are tied, and head to head split, the next tie breaker would be wins. So if I'm right, I get to be fast.

By the way, I just took your first comment on the tie breaker and added in Shootpasscore and just added the next tie breaker.

well if Chaska ends up being in the play-in game and they are dissapointed they only need to look in the mirror to find where the blame should be placed. They had ample opporutunities to change many of the outcomes.
