Right, but whatever the reason, they've lost 2 in a row since we got the invoices.

I leave you kids alone for a day so that I can go to the Fair, and suddenly there's no Factor?!?

Guess that means it's a cake walk from here on in...

I like it. Eddie's a grizzled veteran and while not spectacular, he's at the very least a good calming influence to have out the pen... The "yin" to Nathan's "yang" so to speak. He also should be a pretty good 8th inning guy as well since he's felt the pressure of being the 9th inning guy in the past.

If you can get a guy who's been through the heat of a pennant chase on multiple occasions in exchange for a guy you picked up a tryout, you've done ok.

Good move for the twins and getting rid of Mike Sheep can only help, also :!:

I can hear the chants already EDDIE, EDDIE, EDDIE...

With any luck, they'll pick up the help from Eddie and also come away from the Mike Lamb experiment with an expensive lesson learned about signing has-been or never-were free agents. It's costing them close to $4m to dump him. The list continues to grow... Jose Offerman, Rondell White, Craig Monroe, Ramon Ortiz, Sidney Ponson, Livan Hernandez, Mike Lamb.

The Twins will end up paying $6m for a .233 Avg, 1 HR & 32 RBI... Even Frank Thomas put up better numbers than that.

And so concludes the Mike Lamb Watch...

I like this move. Our bullpen needed some help and Lamb was not going to give the team much off the bench. It has been a great ride. I thought .500 would be a good year. No matter what happens the rest of the way it gives me optimism for next year and beyond.

Now is the time to get going.

Pale hose have to deal with Beckett & Dice-K at Fenway, and our team.... well, they don't.

Following the trip to Fenway, Chicago has to go to Cleveland which is suddenly the hottest team in baseball... our team doesn't (although Toronto is no pushover either).

MAKE HAY NOW!

Well at least Dice K anyway. That hurts the fantasy team.

The bats going silent has dampened the furor over the bullpen giving up a run here and there hasn't it.

It was painful to watch last night against a so-so pitcher. I'm sure PB had better things to watch on the tube last night, and missed the game entirely.

The Twins are wasting them by the bushel, Butch and Sundance have gone 9 for 11 with 5 RBI's. Punto's saving plenty for tomorrows game though, drawing the collar.

12-2 bottom of nine.

Pale Hosers got rocked by the Bosox for the icing.
