Sounds to me a lot like the money pit that is the public school system.
Gee... and who's leading the slash parade on that?

I am OK with that so long as everybody in the village is helping out and doing their job.

Here we go again...

This is just so clearly insane on so many levels, I won't get involved in it again. Just suffice it to say that the hockey program is least of that school's problems as a result of the state's "leadership" over the last 4 (EDIT: 8 ) years.

Right, its the state's fault.

All the people of Minnesota ganged up on them

For most , it takes a village. For some, the whole state and for the rest the whole flippin country.

Thats right CNT.

The envy of Minnesota's Team is palpable. I suppose with good reason.

The poor witto pubwik schools just dont have a chance.

Well, I am sure the EP Eagles dont feel that way. They wouldnt have the
track record for excellence that they have established with that kind of attitude.

Should be a battle.

Somewhere in there I missed where PB listed the hometowns of all the CDH players. I'm sure it's there, I just cannot find it. Help a brother out.

   You are completely correct. That is certainly not in the holiday spirit, and I was completely out of line. I'd like to apologize to PB and everybody else for being the brussels spouts on this Thanksgiving table.

Can't anybody answer a simple honest question on this board? Do they list the home towns of the players in the program or not?

Well BIAFP, thats not the way I would describe the question.

None of the public conglomerates list which town their students live in on their roster. Its not important.

They dont play for their town, they play for their high school. Geez, I thought eveybody knew that.

Govs, no need to apologize.

Your contribution to the board is singular.

Are kids born and raised and their athletic abilities groomed in the CDH, AHA, or Hill school districts? Great options not available to those outstate? Should Lake Shore have their own high school, population what, maybe 200? Of course you have to combine some small communities to define a district, Hell they can't find a way to fund it even combining communities. I have not in any way tried to take away from the accomplishments of CDH or the fine education available to those kids. It is just not comparing apples to apples as they draw from the entire state if not country for student/ATHLETES.

For whatever it's worth, I think a lot of people on the "bored" just lump any kid who plays for an area youth hockey (or football) association as a kid and then goes to a private school as being recruited. That's obviously not always the case. Clearly the kids who play for CDH didn't develop their skills at the Cretin Youth Football Association... there isn't one. The kids have to play somewhere so they play for the Eagan Football Assoc. or Roseville or Dallas or wherever while attending private schools as kids, they then grow up and go to Cretin. I'm fine with that... there's no saving those kids who have grown up going to catholic school

My issue has always been with the kids who grow up going to public school, then by 7th or 8th grade have developed some athletic aptitude and magically need to find God or need more structure at HM or CDH in 9th grade. Weird. The timing is always so coincidental.
