Congratulations to the Hawks. They will represent Northern Minnesota well next week.

Alot closer than I would have thought. Nice game for Denfeld. Great win for the Hawks. Good Luck at State.

How about that!!!

As Harry Caray would say.... HOLY COW!!! Zephs WIN Zephs WIN!!

Not without a bit of last second drama.....

Mahtomedi goalie Brad Wohlers must have tossed his stick getting ready to celebrate while the puck in the STA zone, and then STA fired a shot towards the net with abaout :01 left, and Wohlers had to block it with his pads, because he didn't have his stick...

I would switch Hermantown and Warroad, because Warroad has losses against EGF and TRF 3-2 record against these two this year, and Grand Rapids while Hermantown has beat all those teams in their only games against them.

I 100% completely agree with you. But everyone respects Warroad so much. I anticipate the coaches giving them the edge because of their name and tradition. They've gotten ranked too high the last three years.

I see where your coming from there and their history is a very good point. Hopefully the coaches do their homework before voting. Can't wait to see the matchups and let the speculating begin.

Blaine's D is terrible, besides Larson and Harper theres nothing there. Its a good thing they have a heavy offense

That's the problem. The coaches don't do their homework.

North is a different team right now..they are playing their best hockey....they lost early in the year to Century, and beat them with ease in the semis..and now with South, they are avenging their losses. The soph goalie is stealing the show tonight down in Rochester

With North playing their best hockey, and a hot goalie...Im not saying I expect them to win a game at state..but if they can avoid Tonka or Edina...I think they could give the other teams a game.
I 100% agree and did not see this coming at all. The first period was pretty even but after that North was awfully good, they beat South to the puck, made smart plays, and when South had good chances Lindgren came up big. They took Century's top line completely out of the game last Saturday and did the same to South's tonight. They could steal a game, I give them a better shot than the rest of the teams that will be unseeded.
