Excellent summary 59. Sorry I missed you . I did run into Cakescout

I will add that Joey Pierce looked solid. Never gets caught out of position. Stickhandles well In offensive zone, and good instincts when to shoot or pass.Got the game-winning goal to break the 1-1 tie on one of his characteristic rockets from the blue line. Bright future for this kid who plays two years older than his age.Have to believe Sandelin is knocking on door

Carson Cochran looks solid on the blue line as usual. Sad to hear of Fitzgeralds injury last week

Logan Anderson took a hard-hit at end of the boards in third period, but returned to the ice But will be sore tomorrow and on the bus ride home. Hope that’s the extent of it

Tonka fans were relieved to see Glockner Returning to play a solid game after a long absence and rehab. Technically very solid and Higb level of confidence, even taking some big hits , much to relief of all hockey fans

Donovan is a dominating force on the ice in all aspects of the game . Although Luedtke Did manage to neutralize him nicely on a break out coming down on a rush on the right side

Agree on Joey Pierce...HT will be good again this year...their last playing for the little trophy? 😳😉. Will add that Grant Doctor always looks good too. Also was surprised how tall Mason L is...His bro Landon is a nice player too. Vorlicky is skilled but sometimes seems a bit out of control. Jungels got stoned on a clean breakaway up 1-0 that also turned the game in North’s favor. Paine is a very physical, somewhat underrated D in my view.

One final overall thought . How in world you ask was team north able to outshoot southwest by 2 to 1 when SW ostensibly has a superior supply of offensive weaponry? The answer in simplistic
terms, at least in this game , section 7 Dman consistent control of neutral zone and high slot , and Section 7 characteristic forecheck style

Broken collarbone. Not sure on the timeline but it's at least possible he'll be ready once the season starts, otherwise sometime mid-December, I'd guess.

Saw SW play saturday morning. I did not see the game you are speaking of but I do have an observation that could be part of the problem. Maybe it is not unique to SW but the length of time their F were out there for shifts was L - O - N - G. How can you possibly be as effective as a team or individuals when the shifts average 1:30 each. I had a couple of friends of my kid that I was excited to see play and it was 1 shift every 4 min or so.

Still so fun to watch...saw SW v NE and also SE v NW.

NW leads NE 2-0, SOGS 12-4. Flamming first and Kittleson the second . Biggest surprise,at least for me , is Wayzata Dman Tom Bergslund. Keeps forwards at bay in corner with body checks , and keeps low slot clear for Pinney, needs a little work on outlet passes . Pino got off a couple great snipes, Pinney got one and other just missed the cage

N W leads 4-2 after 2. Sogs 24-17 NW . In 2nd , forest lake Carpenter and Saltness each got one, and TKost and AHumph each for NW .

Final Nw 6-3, Sogs 38-25 . Pino a great snipe in 3rd thru traffic. Followed by Schweitzer for NW. Flamming with ENG

Koster did not play.

Good to see balanced scoring on both teams

Glockner Has had 2 quality games against Deast kids That swarmed him during the championship game at the X last March, as well as other 218 North talent . Looks solid And confident. All hockey fans are thankful for his recovery

(Still can’t help but gulp when he does the splits or takes a hit)

Here is the order:
  • North 12 games, 18 pts
    Southwest 12 games, 16 pts
    Southeast 12 games, 15 pts
    Northwest 12 games, 11 pts
Great Plains 12 games, 9 pts
    Wisconsin 12 games, 7 pts
    Northeast 12 games, 6 pts
I think those are accurate. North has the inside track to earn a matchup against the NTDP.

I see Joey Pierce got a couple today in the win over Southeast. Anyone see this game, assuming he played forward again?

I went to a couple games yesterday and noticed there were very few scouts there compared to prior weekends. I counted only about 3 or 4 compared to a couple dozen on prior weekends. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

1. Every scout was there the week before
2. USHL Fall Classic was held in Pittsburg this past weekend
3. Many colleges and USHL teams are now into their season
