Very epic. Great broadcast by WDIO in Duluth; it felt like a state tourney game in just about every aspect.

My two favorite moments:
-Conner Valesano flying off the bench to celebrate with the players who were on the ice for the tying goal, and hitting the huddle so hard that he bowls Jake Randolph over.
-Trevor Olson's celly after the game-winner. Beautiful.

Great hockey by both teams. East looked a little better than they sounded on the radio, though of course since I knew what was coming, maybe I wasn't judging them as harshly as I normally might.

I'd like to see that game.

Watching a 7AA, 8AA section final games would be a nice change considering I have only seen city sectionals.

Plus the whole EAST, CEC, GR rivalries would be a great transition.

The Hub does have a highlight video, though they cut off some of the parts I mentioned: http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article ... r_id=32770

Much as I love the 7AA games in Duluth, I'd love to see Hill-WBL in person someday, and the 6AA/2AA finals at Mariucci as well...

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you
will have $49.00 today!

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have
$33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman
Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the
beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have
received a $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily &
recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.

A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found
that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means
that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon!

Makes you damned proud to be an American!

Looks like they'd actually be cheaper than the Leafs:

Not sure if you noticed but those figures were from 2009.

Prices had to have fluctuated considering the economy.

That five-foot snowbank in front of our house has now shrunk to a three-foot mound of ice. This could take awhile to melt.

Meantime, bicycles are cleaned up, after a quick tune-up we'll be ready to go! Time to work off the culinary excesses of this past winter.
