Still not tracking. :?
Are kids born and raised and their athletic abilities groomed in the CDH, AHA, or Hill school districts? Great options not available to those outstate? Should Lake Shore have their own high school, population what, maybe 200? Of course you have to combine some small communities to define a district, Hell they can't find a way to fund it even combining communities. I have not in any way tried to take away from the accomplishments of CDH or the fine education available to those kids. It is just not comparing apples to apples as they draw from the entire state if not country for student/ATHLETES.

Of course, CDH and Brainerd High School and any other pulic school are structured differently.

But what I aint buying is that one has a built in advantage over the other simply because of that fact, which you are too hung up on.

Good lord, this thread's turning into a nightmare! You guys are worse than a bunch of Duluth East and Cloquet fans sniping at each other!

Should be a good game on Friday and I'll have the added benefit of not caring who wins so I can just enjoy the game. I haven't decided if I'll be at the Dome or if I'll just record it. There's this game that's played on frozen water with sticks and frozen rubber discs that you guys may have heard of that has some opening games the same night.

I'm with you there... I've been going over Friday scenarios in my head. I should be fine to be at the Turkey Trot for the Edina/Buffalo game at 5:00, but then I've got a decision to make... stay for Wayzata/MG at 7:00, or go home for the football game? I could DVR, but that always loses a little something for me. If the still played all 6 games in one day, that CDH/EP game wouldn't start until 9:00ish.

DAMN THE 2 DAY PREP BOWL!!!

I think Cretin schedule catches up with them and EP wins 42-22. The SEC was bad this year and Cretin struggled with Lakeville South, a .500 Lake team. The crappy thing about football is how few games you play, then your sections are just a repeat of the regular season. I wonder why they don't seed football at the AAAAA level, as it is everyone has to go to the etro to play the quarterfinal games anyhow.

You are right about the SEC this year goldy but who has EP played?

I think that the 2 teams are so head and shoulders above the rest this year that neither could have played a schedule that would consistently challenge them.

It will be interesting.

Wait Until Thanksgiving.

EP did blow out an underfeated Edina in the Sections... Maybe Edina was exposed - or maybe they were the best team outside of EP or CDH.

We don't know.

IMO Edina was a distant third and CDH would have beaten them by a similar margin.

But I base that on seeing Edina play one game.

I havent seen EP play but their record speaks for itself.

I have seen CDH play and I would be surprised if any team was a lot better than they are.

Wait Until Thanksgiving.

Eagles by 10 points. Yawner by the 4th quarter. Any takers?

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

The Raiders with Floyd catching a TD pass late in the 4th to win it.

If Floyd has any stats to speak of after this one, I'll jump on the Notre Dame express. Rumor has it that Grant has issued a "bounty" on him ala Reg Dunlop ala GB Packers(Peterson).

He cant be stopped.

They know how to shake him loose.

He will get his touches.

If they over play him, it will be a mistake.

He is not the only weapon.

See you in South Bend. We can go to mass together before a game.

The only mass you'll catch this cat at is the "mass exodus" after the third quarter of Friday evening's final game when the Eagles are up by three touches!

If they are only up by 3TDs, I wouldn't leave.

Are you buying the fact that Grant says he and his staff have had no time all season to scout the Raiders?

He knows exactly what he is up against and has been preparing his team accordingly.....through out the playoffs.

There is only one way to stop the Raiders attack and he knows what it is.

Can they execute it?

Dont miss the game and find out.

Wait Until Thanksgiving.

Goldy Gopher asked:
"Are you going to be at the game tomorrow Packerboy?"

Well yes GG. I will be the one in the plaid shirt handing out Holy Cards and selling Bibles.

Go Raiders.

Well that was kind of a letdown. 50-29, and it really wasn't even that close. At least there's no question about who the kings really are. I'll say this though - at least on tv, CDH sure looked like they carried themselves as professionals to the bitter end.

The Lord must still be in a turkey coma.

Cretin was overmatched just like everyone Eden Prairie played this year. 50-21 and like Govs said it wasnt that close. I was hoping to see more from Floyd and Shady but they just weren't on the field that much, not that it mattered when EP goes 13 for 13 on third downs.
