Moose Jaw & his Undercover Lover may have to eat some crow here. I was at the game and the 4 bantam eligable players that you talk about were great for TRF. Goalie is going to be a good one and the two freshman defenseman were good - Audette was real good. I see that the old coach was running the defenseman and with playing 2 freshman - 1 sophomore and 1 JV junior they pretty much shut down Roseau - especially in the third period. I thought Tim had a good game plan and Roseau became very frustrated in the 3rd period when TRF dominated and missed two or three great chances. They will have some growing pains but they will be tough by the end. By from the Ralph - nice when they have wireless internet right in the building.

TT got a business proposition for you. :-k How about we get a couple hundred felt hats both in red and green kind of like the ones they wear on the old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Christmas show...the one with the misfit toys and the elf that wanted to be a dentist. I think I've seen ones that already have the pointy ears already attached. It might be too late for Christmas but we could get them cheap as Christmas extras for probably less than a buck a piece for Sections and charged $10 a piece...we'd clean up. :) Wouldn't that be a sight  ...a couple hundred elves running around the Lil Ralph.

Take a peek @ six posts up  ....at least I'm not afraid to admit when I'm off. Who WON the game anyway? :? I like these door knobs that use rival schools as their handles...TRF fans calling themselves greenwave; PR fans calling themselves warriors....you get the picture REAL creative.

Wow, Bemidji loses an early one to a bunch of elves. what will happen when they have to play a real hockey team and not a bunch of pointy eared dwarves?

after tonight I am not sure what my predictions are anymore. I figured Bemidji would handle them with care like many UPS packages and that failed. Bagley should have taken care of their postage but failed in all aspects 5 minutes into the game... Apparently santa needs help this xmas...

Please refresh my memory, but hasn't it been quite some time since Bemidji has "handled" anyone in Section 8a. I think we will look back come seeding time and realize that seeds 2-5 are interchangeable...perhaps even #1.

And I suppose you play(ed) for the Bison...now I suppose I'm a blasphemer.

I really think people don't understand what a GREAT head coach can do for a program. As for the situation in TRF I believe they finally have it right. Please don't misunderstand this I'm not trying to diss the old coach, he may be more effective here than when he was at the helm and vice-versa as I said in my first post in this thread that move was the one many people dreaded as it automatically made TRF a contender.

But many people are also looking at that move as a "non move" because he is still there, the only change was to the title. People also say that he will still call the shots over his brother.

My Recap-

EGF was too fast and talented for Bemidji from the get go. Greenwave 1st line looked great all game long. Defensemen were the difference here, egf's d-men moved the puck up the ice quicker and with more consistancy that Bemidji's did. The refs tried as much as they could to help Bem. back into the game, penalties had to be 10-3 in favor of Bemidji, in other words the reffing was horrid cuz the Lumberjacks were awful chippy, especially when Egf got heir 4th goal. Goaltenders both played solid, Bemidji goalie just didn't have a whole lot of help. In the battle of headcase teams, EGF didn't lose thiers and came out on top.

Moose jaw eat his words? never hahaha! Was this a moral victory, come on a loss is aloss but i get so amused with you greenwave, why the great concern with prowler hockey, especially when your supposed team is rolling it up on bemidji?it cant just be that the ralph has wireless.Dont mean this to be knock on the youngens trf has playing but they wouldnt have made a varsity roster on any other team that matters in this section, they are their beacause the numbers are terrible,i fully expect the margin to be larger the next time they play.Any one who follows this section knows the youngens wear down as the season goes along thats a fact, especially on the blue line.thiers a big difference in having a couple truly talented underclassmen sprinkled in and having a whole team of them because your numbers are bad because of the previuos regime.Istill hear alot chirping coming from that prowler bench and it wasnt tim.Does the sideshow continue or was their really regime change in trf?

Oh yeah,i will stick with my previous prediction on this section, warroad and this should make you happy greenwave if thats truly who you are egf if their young coach can gain some composure along with his team and dont have the meltdowns that hurt them last year.Ihope im wrong but bringing back the head co as your asst with the ego that he possess doesnt lend a lot of credence that your running your own show unfortuanately.trf will be watching the finals from the stands but at least they have wireless.

EGF 3,0,2 = 5
Bemidji 1,0,1 = 2

SOG
EGF 31
Bemidji 25
EGF dominated first period on the scoreboard (3 goals in a one minute span at the half way point of the first period).
SOG pretty even after the first period.
During play of third goal two players hooked helmets and the ref was disconnecting them - very wierd.

Penalties
EGF 10 (including one called for a penalty shot)
Bemidji 5
Refs were Warroad guys
Second period 6 Warroad and 4 for Bemidji
Third period Warroad 3 (including penalty shot) and 1 for Bemidji.
Game was physical - not cheap. Both sides hit hard.

EGF's Wikoff, Grabanski, & Useldinger played very well.

Turning point (besides the 3 goal outburst), after Bemidji's Curb scored on the penalty shot, EGF came back with their first line - Bemidji came out with the wrong line and two goals in the shift.

Overall - fun game to watch (most of the time - even though Bemidji played poorly or vice versa in the first).
Bemisji's young players got a wake up call after having an easy first game.

Very good start for the greenwave. Played very well the first period. Game got chippy in the second period with lots of penalties. Bemidji got close after a goal on a nice penalty shot. Wave to much to handle in the 3rd and came away with a big win.

EGF looked very good.
The D played very well and 1st line had a lot of jump.
Goalie Christianson was not tested a whole lot but was very steady and looked very confident.
The penalty shot was very nice move and flip to top shelf (nice move for young sophmore, Curb).
