You won't be watching hockey in a new arena next Christmas or the one after either. The $12.88 million project still needs to secure the money. I don't know most of the details but I guess the city is going to the state for some help. Also, there is talk about a 1/2 cent city tax or something that the city would need to approve in a vote. If the money came through from the state there's a possibility some construction could begin this year.

It was the 2006 State Tournament. A little Cathoilc school opting up to play the big boys hadn't been to state in 20 years.

Big thanks to packerboy for that "Great Moment" in YES: It Can Happen History. Had I not been told it was poor witto Queetin in the purple and gold scoring all those goals I would have thought it was the witto ol Egos from Eas Gwan Fokes Saquid Hut, they wore purple and gold too you know. Well anyhow, it was great moment and yet more evidence that YES: It Can Happen.

No Govs this is serious business and we don’t get carried away in this thread. YES: It Can Happen. It can happen to you, it can happen to me, it will happen eventually because that’s what the song says.
Nowadays, everybody goes looking for answers. They go to sporting goods stores looking for the lightest composite stick, they go to camps or elite things in search of that intangible that can put them over the top, they go looking for the coaches who have won before, they go to trainers with fancy inclined treadmills that you can wear your skates on. Some even turn to faith, but any God I know worth worshiping, doesn’t care whether Pine City or Circuit City wins a state high school hockey championship. The answers we all seek in this thread are right there in the mirror, it has nothing to do with tradition and it has nothing to do with one’s perceived birth right to hoist a section title.
