You will never know unless they play. If I was a gambler I would bet on the green and white.

We have had the same discussion in the past about AHA's schedule due to the fact they are in the Missota when they were ranked #1 , even after they lost in sections.

No one got upset.

But now people like BIAFP get all in a tizzy when their Northern heros are called out for playing a soft schedule and they start to insult the other posters. I just dont understand it.

Green and White made the point that BSM was rated high and they dont play a very tough schedule either, even though they did beat the best team in Green, and nobody went for a gun.

Just an observation but it is curious that the Roseau fans get so upset about it. Its hard to understand how you can have a disussion about who the best team is and ignore the fact that one of them doesnt play anybody.

Maybe there are some issues that go deeper. Maybe there is some blocking going on or some acting out.

Maybe we should consult a physco the rapist.
You act like a team can't be good because of the schedule they play. It doesn't actually upset me, it just gets old. It's the only argument i've heard against Roseau, because that's all you can come up with, their schedule. Go watch them play. Did you happen to see them last year? They played in that state tournament thingy and won it. I think this years team is better. But, Edina is better too. The Rams will definitely have their hands full, I've only seen Edina twice this year thanks to FSN. They're beatable just like Roseau is. I haven't said a negative thing about Edina because i don't know enough about them. Saying negative things about the Rams seems to be the only thing that gives you pleasure in life. Have fun with that.

Are Roseua fans getting defensive over the discussion over their 'soft schedule' or are Edina fans using the supposedly soft schedule as a crutch to make their argument? From someone that doesn't care either way I'd say the arrogance and ignorance from those pooh-poohing Reseau is just as preposterous as the sensitivity by the other side. Roseau won state last year and represented themselves quite well in doing so. Edina has rolled through this season so far and also represented themselves quite well. Instead of crying about which team is better, fans of both teams should enjoy the fact they have a lot to be proud of right now and unless these two teams play each the argument is pointless as neither side has made a more compelling case.

People need to stop speed reading and reading things into posts that arent there.

Nobody has said anything negative about Roseau, its high school hockey team ,its fans, players nor coaches.

But they play a soft schedule. This cite ranks their schedule #47 in the state.

If somebody starts a thread that wants to discuss who is better, Edina or Roseau , whats wrong with pointng out that one plays a top level schedule and the other one plays a soft one?

If you think there is something wrong with it , dont click on the thread beacause strength of schedule is going to be brought up when ever you evaluate a team's season.....at any level of any sport.

So it would be safe to say that the packers were really terrible this year because they only played 4 teams with records above .500??

Just gets old Packboy
Roseau will have a soft schedule every year, it is what it is again & again
Every year they are good, I guess that must be getting old again & again
Strength of schedule just plain gets old ma 'boy again & again

Nuf on that

If it happens, 2OT, Roseau 3 Edina 2
Edina outshoots Roseau (Remember, 2OT) 45 - 30, Lee shines

You can say whatever you want about the Packers.

It wont change the fact that Roseau has a soft schedule nor will it change the fact that when 2 teams are discussed in comparison with one another, the fact that one plays a monster schedule and the other doesnt is going to be mentioned, whether its ESPN or FOX or Minnhock.

ewe know im not sure about all this over rated under rated weak schedule stuff.

but ewe half to agree it is alot less fun around here without all of the SPUDNation claiming that this is the year.

u all can smack at da rams schedule but i think the only team they play with a smaller enrollment is LOW...and with Warroad it varies year to year.

The Star of the NOrth does not always shine....enjoy it while you can.

I don't recall Warroad ever having larger enrollment numbers than Roseau.

Hey Pot, the Kettle called to say that you're black.

Nobody said that anything negative was said, "about Roseau, its high school hockey team ,its fans, players nor coaches" so where you came up with that no one knows. But hey, cling to your beliefs like a security blanket if it makes you feel better.

It would be nice to see all the top teams out of sections make it. I think there are 4 or 5 teams that could win it all if that happened.

The only security blanket I see is Roseau's schedule.

Mr Whipple would love it.

Yup, one of the metro's "above average but not great teams" go down to Ro-so-so 1-0. A little help by the refs never hurt anyone; especially the Rams. ps- #10 was impotent not dominate in this one. See ya in State. For a game anyway.
