Seems strange that Wayzata Gold is still ranked in top 20 with there other B1 team Navy not ranked after defeating some ranked teams not to mention beating Gold. Not sure of the process of ranking.

Let's Play Hockey rankings are not science. We can all agree with that. The top 10 are, for the most part, the true top 10. As far as the rest of the rankings (11-20), it's a toss up. Wayzata Gold is a good hockey team from what I've seen, but most likely not a top 20 team. Wayzata Navy has had an up and down season, but seems to be playing well for the most part of the second half of the year and would put them somewhere 15 to 20 in the rankings.

I would agree the top 10 make sense but seems funny when you have teams ranked in the top 20 that have not beaten any of other ranked teams. It will all come out at the end of the season through districts and regions.

Jefferson 5, Waconia 1
#18 Cole Ancel with 3 goals.
#17 Tyler Johnson with 4 assists.
#8 Nick Jansen with 2 goals.
By the way #18 and #17 are on the same line for Jefferson.
Semi final scores from Woodbury Tourney

Semifinal scores from Woodbury Tourney:
Maple Grove Crimson 5 Woodbury White 2
White is not yet ready to skate with teams like Crimson. Not sure if or when they will take the next step. Some skilled players, Top line had some chances, and played physical, but a couple of soft goals and no goals from top 2 lines in this game. Not a good combo for competing with a top 5 team.
Woodbury Blue 5 Wayzata Gold 0
Blue was stuck on 2 goals for much of the game. Finished em off when Gold started taking some offensive chances later in the game. Blue goalie is good. He will be the key for them as 1-2 goals are all they normally produce against good teams.

Woodbury Tourney 3rd place game

Wayzata Gold 6 Woodbury White 5 in a shootout
White juggled some lines after Crimson game realizing they need to find something more to help them take the next step. Scoreboard was the enemy for White. Referee reversed his own called goal for Woodbury at 1st periods end buzzer. Woodbury scored with two seconds left in the game to take a 5-4 lead but scorekeeper had run some time off by accident so they added 1:30 back on (So much for home ice advantage) Gold pulled their goalie and scored with 00.0 on the clock but that one counted. Woodbury coach used a few utility players for the shoot out which I thought was a great team building move. Provided Gold an opportunity to grab the 3rd place hardware however and they took advantage of it.

The ranking do not make sense when teams like shakopee do not get noticed for winning tough games. I have researched them and they were the first to stop EP even though EP got a tie in the last 15 seconds of the game. They are very solid defensively and has some talent on the scoring side. Love it! A smaller growing community having success over some of the larger older ones. I know the arena is reasonably new and the recruiting and coaching must be strong. Congrats! Finish strong to show you belong.

shakopee is 7-5-1 in district play and is only ranked as high as they are (in districts) b/c of fair play points and games played. dont let your vision be clouded b/c almost half of thier 26 pts in districts are from fair play.

This late in the season everybody in the mix is relying on fair play points so that argument makes no sense. Shakopees biggest problem is consistantcy. They are under rated I'm telling you watch out for them!

Did Shakopee lose any kids from there B1 team to High School early this year? I know they dont have an 'A' Team.

I work with a parent from the Shakopee B1 team. From what I've heard they did lose 2 players to the high school team this year. Maybe 3? Not exactly sure. I just remember him saying that's one of the big reasons they didn't field an "A" team. I know they only had around 25 skaters try-out at Bantams this year. I'm glad to see they are having some success so far.

#4 Eden Praire, 4
#16 Jefferson, 3
The score doesn't tell the game at all. The refs dropped the puck in the wrong place twice, once nothing happened, the other time Eden Praire scored right off the draw (it should have been in their end). Then Eden Praire scored with 8.5 seconds left to win.

Nope but here is how it played out...
#8 from #17
#18 scored on a breakaway
#4 scored on a breakaway
#17 and #18 each have a point in there last 3 games (total of 12). #8 was out there with #17 and #18 (we are short on centers and have 3 players hurt).
EDIT: Do I know who that is (packerpuck19)?
#17 got a goal from #18 in the Shakopee game. I forgot w go the other one...
