I believe you meant to type Megan Cox from SSM. To the best of my knowledge Megan Fox does not play hockey.SuperStar wrote:

Sounds like a pretty straight forward transfer situation which are generally not included on commitment lists. I'd have to say, it's very encouraging to see Lindenwood truly committed to building a solid varsity hockey program for the women...by all indications. Right now there undoubtedly at a bit of a recruiting disadvantage vs. more established programs but have landed some nice players already before ever playing a varsity game. Bodes well for their future...and I wonder if that might be in the WCHA at some point.SuperStar wrote:I havent seen anything on Shannon Kaiser...Please let us know if you hear anything on her..
Also - Need to congratulate Katie Erickson from Elk River who will be playing hockey this fall at Lindenwood University. Katie is a '10 grad from Elk River. She went to St.Cloud State on a softball scholarship last year and now has transferred to Lindenwood.
We can't add her to the 2011-2012 D1 commits - or can we? Technically she would be a sophomore, but hockey wise she would be a freshman...
Need some help on this one..

But this thread lists her hometown as Duluth, Minn. She reported Iron River, Wis. as her hometown. She's not from the State of Hockey, so she doesn't count towards Minnesota's total number of DI recruits for 2011-12.joehockey wrote:Turner played for a Duluth HS Team and the MN Thoroughbreds - possible her parents moved.
I was sad to hear that Niagara is dropping it's program. Hopefully all these young women can find a new home if they wish to resume their hockey careers elsewhere in 2012-13. However, I understand that they won't lose their athletic scholarships if they choose to stay at the university.SuperStar wrote:Niagara University

I agree. I know you are posting this under 2011-2012 commits but another Minnesota girl is on this team too even though she was a 2010-2011 commit.MinnGirlsHockey wrote:I was sad to hear that Niagara is dropping it's program. I see that RIT will be making the jump from D3 to D1 and replacing NU in the CHA beginning in 2012-13.
