Does Cloquet still have any chance at the #1 seed after tonight's 5-0 loss?

Well, the score is what really hurts them. If it was 2-1, maybe not. If they lose to Brainerd it just seems to me that is too big of a drop off right before the meeting for them to fight of East for #1. Tomorrow will say a lot about CEC's character. I know CEC beat and tied East, but playing bad right before the meeting gives coaches ammunition.

If East wins or keeps it close tomorrow night they will get first seed.Cloquet could be looing at number 3 seed.

Cloquet has shown that they can play with East, even though their roster has been shortened by injury. None of the other teams in 7AA have done that. I think that will factor into the rankings. (It would if I were on the committee)

It's pretty unpredictable what they will do. The coaches just vote by what they "think". Also, each coach is going to try to best position their team without doing anything real crazy like putting East at #7 on their form. If a coach played every team in the section and felt Brainerd was the best team they saw, they could put Brainerd at number one and no one can change their vote. It's a crapshoot to an extent, but you won't see East at #3 or Cambridge at #6.

I do not think Cloquet will fall, but if they do, it wont be farther than the 2 seed, or shouldn't be.

If Brainerd beats Cloquet today I think Rapids has a pretty good case for the #2 seed

Which means regardless of seed the season is over for CEC.
