SCSU or maybe he will bypass them at the rate he's going.
Gonna go join up with his former linemate Festler.

I'm am laughing hysterically right now at all the ignorant, biased, homerism fans from Virginia who thought there team was going to win. LF was faster, they moved the puck better, and everything about them was better. Its embarrassing to see an Iron Range team lose like this but I saw it coming and everyone in the state saw it coming. Virginia 0-3 in state tournament games all time.

I might be taking back picking SCC to win it all after watching the Flyers literally fly on the ice. Those guys are fast.

Glad he didn't try to break Mayasich's record. I mean I'm not against it being broken, but I'm against players getting in the record book over playing Virginia calibre as opposed to seeing what he can do against someone like Leddy.

Congratulations to Little Falls.
Good luck with the rest of the tourney.

You sound like an arrogant PLEASE BAN ME fyi... scc or warroad is not virginia.. in anyway.. Size, speed, lines etc... Its pretty obvious LF is the real deal... i never "hated " on them like some did i guess but i will say they have 2 of the toughest games of there entire year coming up, so you might not want to get to cocky over a win over an average VMIB team

I hate the comments about how one team has improved so much since the first time they met. After 25 games, almost everybody will improve so that argument has always been mute. Virginia has a solid team, but they just ran into a LF team that is very hungry, and good.
I personally think the arguments that LF has a weak schedule is out the window. Alex should be here, and if they were, they would be, should be, a team to watch out for. All this crap about how tough STAs section is makes me, and any other hockey fans, laugh. STAs section was not as tough as the Flyers, period. It shows by seeing that no team is left from their section. Good luck to LF from here on out, but if they played like they did tonight, they won't need it.

I absolutely LOVE the comments in this thread. People guaranteeing Virginia was going to win.

4 solid lines, all of which could apparently stop the scoring.
A deep team whose 2nd-4th lines haven't been scored on in months.
Little Falls only won 3-2 in OT to Alexandria.

The list goes on of all the excuses people had to say Virginia was going to win this game...

Where is this Virginia team that all you Flyer haters said was going to show up? Seems to me that this amazing team that is so deep and so improved from the first meeting of the year didn't show up. The Flyers (mainly Hano) walked ALL OVER this Virginia team, so surely this can't be the team you guys were staking your reputations on?

And now that the game is over with an utter domination of the Blue Devils, people start putting in posts about how Virginia is an "average" team? Are you joking? Make up your minds. They are either a team that has 4 deep lines that will shut down Hano in the Flyers or they are an average team who just got demolished at the State level.

Looks like the latter to me...

Bring on the Flyer hater comments. If 28 in a row wasn't enough how about 29? Keep crying...

It has been a long time for the "Flyer-haters" to find a reason to not bash this team due to them not able to win the big game. "Weak schedule" this and "no depth" that... I've talked up the last few teams out of Little Falls only to watch them play at Mariucci. This year, the decision was made to not say much of anything so I'll not say a word except this: The only way to shut up the biggest critics is for the Flyers to hoist the Class A State Championship trophy.

Considering the threads on this forum involving Little Falls and their opponents, they've quieted a good number of them already...need to finish the job.

As I was concerned about, Virginia definitely seemed affected by the big stage. It was a very poor performance by the Blue Devils and I am sure it will leave a sour taste in their mouth until next season.

The Blue Devils were very slow to react (especially on defense) tonight. Sitting in the stands, I could not believe how poorly Virginia's defensemen reacted with the puck. It was embarrassing. They waited so long when they had the puck in their own zone that it cut down their outlet passing lanes and made it very easy for Little Falls to put on a forecheck. Even Lustig looked shaky from the get go after almost allowing a goal on a very weak first shot of the game.

Virginia didn't make it very difficult on Hanowski this go around. The first goal was a nice backhander but the rest were more because of pedestrian defensive efforts by the Blue Devils than it was due to any great plays.

It is easy to see why pro scouts don't rate Hanowski higher. He has the prototypical size and some good hands but he is a very average skater that I think could struggle when he gets away from the pace of Class A hockey. Hell, I was shocked at how slow the games looked tonight when compared to the two Section final games at Mariucci last week.

Go back to where ever you came, and go under your rock. Don't be bitter because Hano walked all over Virgina. All the talk that Virgina is going to walk all over Little Falls with their four lines, awesome goal tender, and great D. Wow where was it and where did it go. LF handled the game with ease, and was fun to watch. Though I will say that from their last two games I didn't see this outcome. I thought for sure it would be closer, but was wrong once again, and paid for it with a couple of Jackson's to my friends. But was still thrilled with the Flyers win. Keep it going and make the next two games good ones and show all these naysayers what your made of. GO FLYERS

Still no love for Hano......why don't you guys just admit that he's a great HS player for now. Will he be a great college hockey player??? Time will tell.

As an Alex fan, I've been on the receiving end of LF for too long but have enjoyed watching this kid play. In 20 years when they talk about the great individual players Ben's name will be mentioned.

I'm not even a LF fan buddy. I actually live on the range. I really don't like LF but what I'm saying is all these devils fans were so sure they could win and that post "Can Virginia win it all" I mean what a joke. They got manhandled. I still think SCC can win the whole thing and I agree with you 2 games against teams they haven't played this year and two very tough teams at that.

don't be a jerk, what did you expect from Virginia fans?,our team sucks,we have no chance to win? come on get on the right side if your from the range, someone was going to lose and Virginia ran into the better team, flyers played like a team with experience and playing for a state title, Virginia is new to the state tourney buzz and it showed in the players and coaching

He put on a great show. Talented kid, no doubt left about that or this team. I was looking forward to this game and was disappointed by the lack of cohesion of the Virginia boys. Nerves?

I figured Virginia would be able to pull out the win in that one. They do have a better team than they showed last night. Hats off to Little Falls for a great game.
Good luck to them the rest of the way.

With all do repect, Little Falls was the better team, and it was to be expected. Virginia had a good season, but wern't in the upper tier of teams in the state. That is why they are done. I am sure Virginia played the best they could.

They definitely did not play their best, but that is hockey.
Little Falls played a heck of a lot better and deserved the win.
No excuses.
Would love to see Little Falls keep it going.

And in no way do I disagree with you on LF being the better team of the two. In 10 games against each other, Virginia might win one or two of the ten. Maybe.

But Virginia played VERY poorly. Their defense was embarrassingly slow moving the puck out of their zone and it made it a walk in the park for LF to put a forecheck on. I think many Class A teams would have trounced the Blue Devils yesterday. That was as a brutal performance and I really like Virginia so that is not something I like to say about them.

I wanted Virginia to win, I picked LF because that reality. They are the better team. Now as a fan I'm not saying say your team sucks and they don't have a chance but the homerism has to stop. Did you truly believe you guys were going to win this game? Its fine to cheer for your team and hope they win but to sit on this forum and brag about your team creating posts like "Can they win it all" is absurd. Your team went two and out and I'm very disapointed. I expect better from range teams in the state tourney. Twice now Virginia has disapointed in the state tourney going two and out. I don't think you ran into just a good team, I think your ran into a really, really, really good team.
