Is there a site showing the results of the advanced 15 games? I don't find any link or information on my district's advance 15 site.

I think F&I meant that Edina isn't a District 1 association, so how could an Edina player have made the D1 Adv 15 team. F&I can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the player's ability was being questioned.

It's my understanding that Adv 15 goes by residency, so possibly the player lives in Minneapolis (D1) and got a waiver to play for Edina last winter (or utilized the new participation rule depending on his school attendance).

Time to bring in coach Jules Winnfield to help the program when "B" players are left off the "special roster". I'm going to have consult the D10 smock group for an official ruling towards talent evaluations and if B level players should just hang up their skates because the A player list is the predetermined group.

My previous post can be disregarded. I should've read some of the earlier posts a couple pages back. It looks like this has already been addressed.

B1 player on D1 team

The player must have come from one of the D1 associations and for some reason waivered to Edina.

D1 has had B players in the past being the land of opportunity. But, this is the final year for a D1 Advanced 15 team as D1 breaks up and goes to play in other districts next season.

I was questioning the district not the ability. However, I am not questioning the B level ability in D10 versus the A level. Remember this is for "SPECIAL" people.

What's there to question? District 1 only had 4 Bantam A teams. How many other districts in the state had so few?

Sorry muck you will have to go back a few posts I was questioning an Edina player in district 1 not his level of play.

I also don't believe that the Advance programs were for everyone to experience.

It is called a development program for ELITE hockey players; not all participating hockey players.

Went back "a couple of posts" and can you define what the difference between "special" and "elite" is towards B or A players making the advance 15?

I can't seem to find these definitions within the D10 handbook and they have closed shop....I'll try Minnesota Hockey.

Oh, ok...sorry about that....

I saw your question has been answered. His residence falls within the D1 boundaries, but goes to a school within the Edina youth hockey boundaries.

Clearly ugottobe has a major axe to grind with d10 but unwilling to sat why. I think I have asked enough.

Please no more whining.

What??? You asked the question on politics and have now tucked and run like a stray dog. D10 is not a concern to me, they have no juristiction over association hockey other than to position politics for all to enjoy. Greybeard was good enough to post the D10 advance policy that clearly shows that only "A" players would be considered in the selection process. Other districts offer a true tryout that will allow "B" talent to make the advance team, this is not allowed under D10 because it is not a development program but a selection process.

No Axe to grind other than to allow others to see that the definition of D10 is a "sled". Something that you have to push or pull with little activity unless it is driven by the people invloved with hockey in this district and community.

You have definitely said enough and I hope kids someday will realize a development program that truely benifits their ability to be a part of a program designed around the youth and not "special" or "elite" sponsored politics.

Go Elks!

So they should invite some 100 plus kids to a tryout? I'm not hiding behind the fact that the Adv 15 ,16, 17's are for a few that is the fact and I don't care what district you play for. Where should the cut off line be? Have you noticed District 10 is one of the largest in the state? Should tryouts last two months they already made them too long by adding an extra 10 players for 3 weeks.

Just more money for MN Hockey.

Why not...that's what a tryout is suppose to be. Other districts don't seem to have a problem allowing tryouts for the advanced program and if you have evaluated talent in a tryout the top kids can be picked in three days.
