As for Karl's Hoyas, o well. At least you saw Duke get knocked off by a 15 seed. In all honesty, I thought you only cheered for winning teams, Karl. (Exhibit A: Yankees & Exhibit B: Packers)
Thanks for that. Maybe I should go to grad school at Kentucky or UNC?
Duke losing is some consolation. Now if Wisconsin (2nd-favorite team) can knock of Syracuse (least favorite team) tonight, then I'll be happy.

Prepare to be happy.
Lee & Karl, what's your opinion on Goodell's punishment?

I think he did what he needed to do. Especially with Williams, who deserves the indefinite suspension.
And speaking of the NFL...Tebow to the Jets?? That just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Tebow is only there for selling tickets, jerseys and whatever. People are enticed by him for some reason. In addition, the Jets didn't really add to their arsenal with this move. This news is kind of pointless if you ask me since he's a non-factor. The Payton Manning story is more worthy.

Rough night for UMD.
Looks like I'll have to be a Golden Rodent fan in the Frozen Four.
That Ferris State-Union game should be a thriller, too. I'm sure the arena in St. Petersburg will be packed for that one.

No kidding.
I thought the Pair-wise rankings were BS this year...
The West region was stacked as too was BC and UMD's. The others were pretty soft in my honest opinion. And now we have an NCAA Frozen Four in Tampa? Really?
The Championship game is going to be between BC and MN. Period.
I'm cheering for the underdogs (not a BC or MN fan for obvious reasons).

Agree on the Pair-wise. Maybe I should start doing NCAA rankings, too?
BC-Minnesota is a pretty interesting match-up; if anyone can solve the BC defense and goalie it's probably the Gophers. Not sure that can happen after watching them last night, though.
Last year we had four great teams, some great games, and a great venue. We've already swung and missed at two of those this year...

You cheer for any team with the nickname "Bulldogs," right Lee?
In other college hockey news, the MN Mild (yes, I said Mild) signed Zucker from DU. Big loss for the Pioneers.

Not the Yale Bulldogs.

You know, I just realized I traveled 1,000 miles away from Duluth for college and still wound up at a school with a bulldog for a mascot.
And this after being a Greyhound, too...

What's up with that, dawg?
Come to think of it, my school colors have always been green and black. Middle School, High School, College. Hmm...

Lord...
Typical MN sports teams...
No wonder Karl and myself are not fans of our home state's pro teams.

Hey puck, you missed out on the first leg of the prestigious MHF Cup..
3 events remain. You can still win it.

Yeah, I know.
But I will be posting from here on out, OGEE.
Congrats on the W.

Wow, a series split!
I cannot remember when that happened. I only remember when Wells pitched a perfect game and the countless times Nathan was shelled in the 9th...
Good series for the Twinkies, bad for the Bronx Bombers.

Yeah, I think it's been a long time since it happened in New York, though I haven't bothered to check. Looks like Morneau is back.
The Yankee starting pitching is still sorting itself out, but the entire AL East is pretty muddled right now, and the bats are starting to get going. No real cause for concern.

This is true. (Unless you're George Steinbrenner, of course.)

Thanks. They had a decent year. Had a flop post-season but Rinne played amazing.
Next year should be interesting. Maybe they can make the playoffs for the 22nd straight year!?

I wouldn't bet against it, though the streak will have to end some day.
I'm adopting the Caps for this postseason, mostly because I want Boston to lose.

Good luck with that pick. Holtby can only carry them so far. In all honesty, I don't mind Boston. I enjoy their style of play. It's been a great series though.
Thankfully Vancouver was eliminated by LA. I'm not a fan of most of their players, but I dislike their fans even more. They riot their own town and they cry more than some posters on this forum (hard to believe). Of course, after Stoll ended the game and the series, I saw trash being thrown on the ice. Stay classy, Vancouver...
Now that my Wings are out of it, I don't have a particular team to cheer for, which is fine. There is still a lot of great playoff hockey to watch.
