FINAL
smw1111 must be beside himself trying to figure out how to explain that Cretin got jobbed by the REFS and Woodbury once again didn't deserve to win.
I've had a feeling for a while that Woodbury is going to win the whole thing this year. Good job.

Tech never had a chance. With Bitzer in net I think moorhead can be a contender at the state tourney.

Back in the 80's when I went to Jefferson, Edina was our rival (and Kennedy and Burnsville and....) HA was nothing. So the team that is going to bring me to the TC is Edina. May go if it's HA, but definitely will if it's Edina. #1 seed vs #2 seed could be a classic.

Jefferson/Edina could sell out, but not Jefferson/HA.
While I respect your opinion, I'm not here to argue, so I won't.

I'm sure you're right that Edina will attract more 40+ fans because of what you stated. I'm also guessing that most fans won't be 40+ and that the more recent ones consider Holy Angels a bigger rival because of certain coaches who've been a part of both programs, the two cities (Bloomington and Richfield) being next to each other, students in Bloomington going to both schools, etc, etc.

And no, neither game will bring 30,000 fans...the AA state tourney doesn't even do that.
Huh... :?
Talking Target Center or MetroDome...

Well I know that it will draw bigger crowds than any T- Pups game this season.

was not impressed with either edina or AHA. Going from jefferson burnsville game to that I expected similar pace and skill. For Edina to win they have to play in your face hockey and throw pucks to the net and crash. For Jefferson to win they have to play their game and not let edina get under their skin. I think if this game was at mariucci on olympic ice jefferson would have it in the bag with their speed and skill. Assuming the Target center is on NHL size ice it should be a close contest probably coming down to which goalie has the better night.

20,000 views on the scores thread today (not to mention the thousand on the other one we had going for a while). Impressive.

To the players, coaches, fans, forum visitors, and broadcasters...thanks for an entertaining Semifinal Saturday!

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this yet, but Target Center seats 17,500 or so for hockey...not 30,000.

In 1999 and 2000 the place was the worst for hockey. I watched the state and WCHA playoffs and the boards were so wobbly it was nuts.

Yes Gervais took the shot and had the goalie beat. It hit the post bounced off his back and rolled over the goal line however the ref couldnt see from his angle. Really unfortunate for FF but this will make for a better title game anyhow.

Most intense game i've witnessed all year long... the Fergus Falls goalie stood on his head and kept his team in the whole game. Any one see the Fergus Falls coach go ape s*** running after the ref when Sartell scored the game winner? Great game by both teams, couldn't ask for a better title game!

Great game! The penalty shot was waived no goal immediately after forward progress of puck was stopped. The goalie didnt pull it out of the net and never mouthed anything to a teammate, there was no one around. The puck hit off the post and came back into the crease and was covered until the goalie moved after the waive off, then it went into the net. It sat in the net for 10 seconds until pulled it out with his stick. There are plenty of pics. I was behind net too, you must be FF gold. It was a great game, too bad anyone had to lose.

Do the boys get any practice time at the rink before they play?
