seems appropriate to me.

That is the rumor, but it may be a male vs female - either way, or together, that would be great wouldn't it?!?!

The newspaper article that said Melstrom was laid off was kind of a giveaway.

I believe it said that it was held off on until the next meeting when officially on the agenda, so technically he's still the coach?

As brought to my attention:
FYI...I think that should be "North Wright County River Hawks" a co-op between Monticello, Annandale & STMA.
I think it has to do with the fact that on the MSHSL site the AD that posts it shows their school name in the posting instead of co-op in some cases.

Park (Cottage Grove) Girls Varsity Coach Opening
Posted: Tue Aug 08, 2006 12:56 pm
by puckfan11
Eric Darwitz has resigned from coaching the Park Girls Varsity to take another full-time coaching position. Eric has been responsible for elevating the program at Park and in the youth levels. He has spent countless hours working with players at all levels for little or NO PAY. Eric will be greatly missed and difficult to replace. We wish him much success in his new endeavor.

This is a huge loss for PCG. Eric worked very hard in that program/position. I wish him & the program the best of luck moving forward.

Well if you haven't heard yet..I suggest looking up
www.virginiamn.com and looking at for sure yesterdays article on Babbitt/Embarass/Tower/Soudan/Ely head coach Donald Lindstrom.
I'm willing to bet there will be a need for a new head coach.

New Coach
Posted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 12:23 pm
by gainazone
Thief River Falls has a new coach. The following is from KROX radio out of Crookston.
www.kroxam.com
Thief River native Corey Poole is returning to his hometown to take over coaching duties in girls hockey and softball. Poole has coached the past seven years at Sauk Centre and Detroit Lakes (was head boy’s hockey coach at DL, while head girl’s coach and softball coach at Sauk Centre). Poole replaces Katie Anderson as hockey coach and Matt Okeson in softball.
Anderson handled the Prowler girl’s hockey team for only one year. Okeson had guided the softball team for eight. Poole will teach physical education at Franklin Middle School.
Congratulations to Corey.
