Actually, both of you are wrong all the time as that is the opposite of RIGHT!

A great local sorts scene.

The Vikings are done.

The Twins have done nothing.

The TWolves are at 5 wins and holding. The coach and GM must have some pretty good pictures of Glen Taylor doing somethng awful.

The Wild have been good lately before losing at home to Calgary.

I have heard that the Gophers are playing basketball but I am not allowed to watch them.

Gopher hockey has been great with them gaining one point in the weekend series with St Cloud. Outstanding.

Live a little PB, the dish is cheaper than cable. For $40 a month I get FSN and the Big Ten network on basic. For an additional $6 I get FSN -Bay area, Detroit, Ohio, Rocky Mountian, Arizona, New York, West, Florida, MSG, NESN, and a couple of other sports channels as well. I can watch the Reds, Dodgers, Giants, Red Sox, etc. the Rangers, Bruins, Sharks, etc. Just about every college sport from every major conference. it's really great.

I don't watch as much as I used to either, but I will say I have grown fond of west coast baseball. There's nothing like falling to sleep listening to Vin Scully call a Dodger game.

The Gophs put up a good fight, if they had shot better at the line the outcome would have been different, but they won last week when Penn St. couldn't buy a free throw. It's nice to see the excitement at the Barn again, even here at work we had a bunch of people around the TV at the end of the game and that didn't happen during the Viking/Bear game.

See, there is always a silver lining.

Oh sure, you were dissappointed in the Twins season and now they have lost Hunter.

Yah, yah , we know, the Vikings were one win from the playoffs and blew it.

The Gophers football team was an embarassment and the hockey team isn't too far behind.... so, get over it.

Get over all of it because we have a NBA team who has just one 2 in a row. Yup, the TWolves notched their 6th and 7th win in succession.

This organization has a right to be proud, as do we all.

Ill tell yah," Its Like a Dream Come True"

Just when you thought everything was perfect, it gets better.

This Gopher hockey team is a force to be reckoned with.....in the line to shake hands. Lucia should be so proud of his team. It will be tough seeing Don go to an orphanage job but I say give him his Dream job now.

GMtana is gone but what a great trade for the Twins and their fans. All of those prospects to follow for so many years until they are released.

And our beloved TWolves. Rackin up the W's like heck wont have it. And you wanted to fire McHale. Ha.

But if thats not enough, Tubbys boys are almost winning some games. The effort vs Wisconsin yeterday was memorable.

Enjoy it while it lasts because "Its Like a Dream Come True"

Another nice cool breezy day. Boy, when it gets to be 90 degrees for those 2 days this summer, we will be wishing for weather like this for sure.

So, enjoy it while you can because there is probably only 2 more months of it left.

Same goes with the TWolves season who have now rung up 11 wins. At this rate, they will finish up with a record close to the expansion years and Bill Musselman. Way to go Kevin Mc hale.

Speaking of short seasons, how about that Gopher Hockey program. 9th place in the 10 team WCHA but well ahead of Alaska.

Imagine that. A major university playing in a conference against primarily small state schools who are not in D1 in any other sport and they are in 9th place. When you throw in the fact that they have at their disposal the best high school talent available, its really impressive.Cudos to Lucia and his staff.

The Gopher football program just lost its Defensive coordinator to another school. He is taking the same postion at NC. Great to see that.

Th Twins open spring training with a great deal of optimism, not to mention speculatuon regarding who will play key postions and pitch.

The Vikings have released Dwight Smith and now have no one to play that position which is exctiting.

So, its hard to see how things could get any better. It alot like ..well, "It's Like a Dream Come True"

I was lost on the road from Constantinople to St. Paul, near death, in agony from my self inflicted plight and then angels from above lifted me up, healed my pain, and pointed me in the right direction (I can only hope)

While they were serving their lord they taught me this very catchy tune.
You'll be humming it all day long as I am now.

Sweet dreams baby, how long must I dream.

Yup, if Roy were around he would be repeating those words but in reference to our great local sports scene.

Just heard that Bryant Mackinne got arrested for assault etc during a nighclub brawl. Great, he is gone. The Vikings will be down to nobody if the Wilfs stay consistent.

The Wild are now only a couple of pts from being out of the playoffs which ought to peak fan interest.

The Gopher Bballers are headed to the NIT...maybe.

Gopher hockey has risen to 8th place with virtually no NCCA chance.

Its great and getting better. Its Like a Dream Come True

Haven't been dreaming much lately but last night was a joy.

Tubby and the boys are all square in the big 10

Dallas is breathing right down the Redwings' neck and the Wild have a pretty good shot to be in formation for NHL's Fleet of Eights.

On the prep scene there are number of teams that still have a chance to make it happen.

Oh yes, I notice that Zigi's handbook for player conduct is really taking as only one player has been arrested so far this winter.

And finally, Gardy is finally hitting fungos again to Nick Punto and the other power hitting infielders that will take the field in anger come April.

Thanks PB....... I agree it's a very fitting selection to the thread and the cause.

No matter what happens to this schools team this year, they have achieved more then those Royals that battled before them..... so it's all good.
Just being there ahhhhhh !!!!!!ILADCT

Well there were (at least) two Gopher teams in the playoffs tonight.
One team won, and one team not so much.
One team was a pretty big underdog, one team should've never lost to their opponent.
Yup, the unranked basketball team beat #20 Indiana,
while the Goph's hockey team lost in 2 OT's to ahem, Mankato...
Truely...A dream come true Or nightmare?
