Gretzky9

the two practices a week for St Peter sounded lite to me so i looked at their web page. They were schedualed to practice more than twice a week almost all season. usually 3 sometimes 4 a week, its possible they got cancelled. as far as practice before tryouts thats often the case for many areas. many kids have moved on to other things.

while there are fewer rinks in the small towns they don't have the competetion for ice time.

3 kids just called me stating no letters and nothing on the web site. It's frustrating to try and explain to 15 year olds why Adults don't always live up to their expectations.

the kids were told, or suppose to be told, that the letters would hopefully be sent out by Wed. and that they should receive them by the weekend. Not get them on wed.

The "Congratulations" letter says that you have been chosen for either a Selectee or Alternate, then you have to check your application form to find out if you are an alternate or selectee. My friend was a little confused, until I showed her his Selectee Form that was also sent.

Both Lakeville North boys, Osterberg from Lakeville South and Michaelson from Apple Valley made it. That's all I know so far.

I just checked on the Minnesota Hockey Website to look for a list- nothing there. I did see the stage costs 525.00. Do kids that participate in this find it valuable. Do some kids turn it down? 525 seems like alot of money

I highly doubt anyone turns it down. I believe the cost includes the room and board at SCSU and it's a week of great hockey.

Have you seen any of these kids play? If they suck then how did they make it to St. Cloud?

Good point The Observer. If it is like last year you will see a lot of nasty posts from those who got cut towards those who made the next round. Watch as more names slowly trickle out.
