Century 6 Hill Murray 5 in OT!
99% of Minnesota loved that score the most of any game at the tournament!!!!

Hibbing should be mentioned on this list of great programs. They have won state titles, almost always have a solid team, most of the kids come up through their youth program and it is a cool city with a deep hockey tradition - not to mention things like mining, Bob Dylan, and Kevin McHale!

No surprise that BIAFP's math is worse than HSHW's english!
No surprise that HSHW takes three sides on any issue (often in the same thread and even the same post), either!
No has-beens or never-wins or chickens or one-hit-wonders!
Eveleth, TRF, IF, SSP, and Hibbing's programs have gone along with the One-Class Tournament!
True top programs are ones that can adapt and chose to move up to compete with the other top programs for State glory!
And, yes, they have to win (and more than once) to be top programs (sneaking past the real top program once per hundred years, like Century or Centennial did, does not cut it)!

Great programs lead to great things: Hobey Baker Award Winner Chris Marinucci, 1980 Miracle on Ice Olympic Gold Medal Winner Team Captain Bill Baker, Stanley Cup Champion Devils Assistant Coach Kurt Kleinendorst, Multiple NCAA Championships for Gopher Coach Don Lucia. All of these guys plus a long list of D1 and pro players are home grown Grand Rapids products.

Hill does it more than anyone (that is to say: 34 trips to State since 1961)!

What is meant by HS program? So, for example, International Falls circa 1967 is the same "program" as International Falls circa 2007? Is that so all the players that didn't actually play on championship teams,....can still feel good about themselves for being part of the "program"?

They are still the same "program" the only difference is there was 900 kids in grades 10-12 in 67 and less than 300 in 2007.

This is such an easy question. The answer is Roseau. You can't even mention the word most in just about any achievement without having to say Roseau. The players and coaches change and it doesn't matter, the system doesn't and it keeps producing winner after winner.

If you played and won a championship, then you had a team.

Where is this Hill Murray most apperances (34) coming from?? I was under the impression that Roseau with 31 has the most appearances. Then SSP and Edina with like 28 or so.

They do hold the record for peeing down their legs the most times in the state final however
