Gardiner will see a lot of ice next season, including forward. He may run the point on the PP, but he will be playing forward. Look for him to put in 15 to 20 goals and have a 40 point season.
They have 5 returning players who can play D (Raiola, Jensen and Prochno, Lundquist and Bach) plus look for Hesketh off the bantam A's to make the varsity.

40 points? Nope. Never.

I don't know what game you're watchin'. He put up 32 points this past season.
Never say never unless you are 100% sure.

I think it is very possible for the kid to add 8 points onto his total from last year.

Tom Younghans would be the best thing that ever happened to the Skippers!!! He's one of the few guys out there that has enough enthusiasm to fire-up the kids and has the cojones and hockey knowledge to keep the parents off his back.... and there's not a player that can keep up with him on the ice. HIRE HIM NOW!!!!!

What a work ethic that guy had on the ice....he was never out worked. I loved his high energy game as a Gopher and North Star. I heard he is the same way off the ice. What a great addition he would be to the Skippers - or any other program.

Wasn't Tom on the NStars the same time as the Jensen whom I believe has kids in the tonka program?
Maybe a good recruiting job?? pure speculation though
I really have no idea.. just something rings a bell about those 2 names together.

Younghans was retired by the time Dave Jensen entered the NHL. You are thinking of Steve Jensen... but Louie Nanne's kid lives in Tonka and Younghans played with and for Louie (wink)... and Glen Sonmor once lived in Minnetonka and Younghans .... ok, ok give it a rest. How about he should be the coach becuase he is the best candidate!

Younghans would be a great fit. He's a bit rough around the edges. But, he will bring intensity.
Skipper coach

Younghans would be great, by there is no chance he will be named the coach. The AD is looking at teachers first. Look for it to be a current high school head coach from the east side of the river.

Maybe if Tonka offered a class on bird dogging chicks they could find a teaching position for Younghans

Yeah your right Dave was there 83-84 and Toms last year there was 82 oh well pretty close...but I was referring to Dave who does have kids at Tonka...either way anyone with that much experience would certianly energize a team.

You seem to be in the Tonka "inner circle." What are you hearing that the rest of us aren't privy too?

Nope! not even from, or in the Tonka area!
I knew Dave Jensen growing up, he was one of those guys a whole school could be proud of for his accomplishments.
Doesn't he have twins or somthing now?

DE BANTAM COACH

I heard one of the Duluth East Bantam coaches is applying for that job, he is a teacher and as much as the Hounds would hate to lose him, he would be a great candidate for that spot.
He is young and has helped develope some pretty good defensmen for DE. But the fact that he is a teacher I think really gives him a good shot. I know they wanted Randolph last time the job opened and if that is the case they might really want to take a hard look here at filling he position, he comes out of Randolph's program and has done a hell of a job.

If he is a Social Studies teacher, all the better!

I continue to hear that the Tonka job has already been offered - don't know if it has been accepted. Look to last year's AA tourney and you will find the answer if you narrow down the candidates...

no word yet, although i did hear the tonka a.d. has turned the process into a mess in the eyes of some "tonka inner circle parents"
