Hopefully or possibly he will be the next Vanek, but for the Wild.

I thought you might enjoy that.

I think it would be great if the Wild drafted Pat White. They have the 20th pick in the draft and could possibily take White......

What if they took White with the #1 pick? Would that be great? Would you love it?

Pat is a big, strong, young man and he will adjust to the next level. If you've seen any Rapids games, you'd notice how much abuse he takes every shift he's out there. Other teams tried to limit his space, but in most cases he would win the majority of the battles. I look for the Golden Gophers to put Pat at wing. He's so good at going into the corners and coming away with the puck. He's also very unselfish for a player with his shooting skills.

For the nay-sayers...

Patrick White was interviewed by 27 teams in two days at the NHL combine.

You right bob. I haven't heard so much "can't miss" buzz since Brian Bonin.

That's impressive

He may be a 1 or 2 year, then pro kind of guy if he keeps on developing.

Wish him well

Are you sure you are not talking about Bobby Dustin? Or maybe Craig Johnson?

Don't shoot the messenger - just passing on what a couple NHL execs (not local) told me - doesn't mean he won't be drafted high - it's just a real factor they are looking at along with his skills when they consider draft position.

White has had a few injuries over the last few years so I think it is fair to have that question about him. The good thing for him is none of those injuries are of the long term variety and he can shed any doubts with a few good seasons of 40+ games in college. I do think as he advances to the next level, he'll be more likely to stay healthy because he will have equally talented teammates out there and all the focus of the opposing team won't be on him.
