This season is about the big green 3. I've got Edina ahead by a nose.

just cause they lost there best defensemen doesnt mean they arent better... did every other team in the state discussion other than prolly roseau not lose if not there best player one of them? also not only barnes but the lake points champion jake hendrickson and his 70+ points in the LAKE are coming back..

When did Edina get Anders Lee? Is he originally from Edina? Or is he just trying to go to a team that has a good chance at winning a state championship? What's the story?

Yes, from Edina, went to STA, and now back to Edina.
But you will get a muuuuuuch more detailed story shortly!

Undefeated is pretty tough to do. At this point, as good as Edina should be, I belive they won't make it out of their section. That's is a loaded section and I think AHA is due...

As much as I'd love one for the private school community, Edina is close enough to one, I think Edina will make it. Edina and Holy Angels could easily both make it to the section finals both with a 0 in the L column. It's very possible, since Edina opted down from the top Schwan's division. The only team standing in the Stars' way is Shattuck.

Classic Circlewatcher. Who's going to be sucked into this one?

Wow. You guys talk about how I have so many posts and how I talk about certain things that I don't. I'd be curious to find out how many of other people's posts are accusing me of saying things I didn't.

HS teams are represented in EL #'s
Edina 7 players
H-M 6 players
Holy Angels, Rosemount, Cent., Anoka, Roseau, all with 4 players.

Having 4 players with invites to the Elite League (including Belisle with 98 career points and EL veteran D Lesmeister)...then throw in a 6"4" 205lbs D (Campbell) and a 6'1 215lb D (Manthey) who were top 4 D last year and a returning goalie (Wells) who started 13-14 varsity games last year...provides a good start to answering CNT's question.

I wouldn't get too wrapped up in how many kids your team has or has not participated in EL, like the market, current projection cannot ensure future success.

But I like Anoka too, as conference runner-up though.

And I like Edina and Holy Angels as conference champs, one as section champ and the other as section runner up 8)

Barnes is an average player

Anoka
Some good returning players, some kids from bantams that might help, and it seems every year some program makes a comeback into the top ten.

I disagree, Barnes is a solid player that has a scoring knack. He should have a very good year this year.

Did you forget who took you to state............Your GOALIE! He got hot at the right time. Holy Angels peppered your squad in the Conference Championship game.

Will they be better.............we shall see

Good luck

Conference Championship game? Huh? What are you talking about?

Pretty sure this is about hockey and Burnsville. Yes, your goalie got you to state and you won't have him next year. You lost I think 10 conference games last year and won an upset game against the best team in state because of one man who won't be on the team next year. Burnsville has nothing to look forward to aside from a mediocre season next year.

No
Eden Prairie wins the Lake..hands down. Burnsville wont be that good. Over achieved last year.
Burnsville lost one impact player-big defenseman #12. They will be better than you think. Plus, they just got a goalie transfer. Don't count them out just yet.

I agree Barnes can have a scoring knack at times but doesn't play a complete game and needs to improve his skating. From what I hear he is getting some looks but nothing serious yet. I will push it so far as to say he is slightly above average due to his ability to score in streaks. More coaches will know where he is this year, wont be as easy.

Barnes dominated a team that most considered to be the best in the state at the time he played them - AHA. He looked better than Matson, Brutlag, Polacek, and whoever else you want to name. If that's average to you, lord help your club.
