I have a few friends who go there. And I never have heard of their football team being good and now they are 3-0 and have been on sports wrap. Seems like they will/have been doing good. My friends play on the hockey team and thats how I got the names for that.

Yeah, more power to em'. Haven't they had a bad football team in the past. It would be sweet if they could beat EP in Eden Prairie.

My son and I went to Anoka-Osseo two Fridays ago--great game in a really nice stadium with perfect weather. Osseo's offense was more explosive and came up with some big plays but Anoka was able to grind them down.
I was listening to KFAN's high school football sportswrap this past Friday and from what they said Kennedy has a good team this year with a lot of seniors who have played three years together. Unfortunately, it sounds like this will be the last good team they'll have for awhile after those seniors graduate.

St. Cloud Tech will be pretty legit this year, they've already recorded wins over Brainerd and Sartell.
EDIT
And a win over Moorhead, they could very easily be 8-0 heading into the section playoffs.

My son and I went over to the University of St.Thomas field last night and watched Cretin destroy Stillwater. Michael Floyd of course had some big plays, but the Cretin RB, no.22, was also impressive, racing through the Pony D. Cretin's QB is very elusive but overthrew at least three long passes. The Cretin D looked strong. There were a lot of penalties, it seemed like every other play sent a yellow flag flying. Nice night to be outside watching football though.

Moving this thread back up, the playoffs begin tonight. I have a son that goes to Como Park and even though he's not on the team (or really into sports for that matter), I'd like to see them do well this year being a smaller city school that hasn't had a lot of success in football.

They got their one cute little win over the
Govs a couple of weeks ago... they won't get 2!!!
Probably because Johnson will lose in the first round again... They fold like a tent this time of year.

Looks like Como Park and Johnson will be playing on Saturday, care to lay any bets down, Govs? I won't do the conundrum thing again, that was pure torture...
I also saw that Kennedy got upset by Apple Valley, too bad for Kennedy it would've been nice to see them do well also.

Johnson plays Chisago on Saturday and Como plays Mahtomedi.
If they both win on Saturday and meet up next Friday, I might be willing to wager a gift certificate for Diva's Lounge on Rice St. I'll let you know!
