highschoolhockeyfan- Not sure about your answer. Let me rephrase it. So even you will understand.

I was at Minnesota Made Ice Center on Sunday. Eden Prairie beat Edina by the score of 6-0.

Was this Bantam A's?

The Real 2007 /2008 Bantam A Rankings

I would assume that's a pretty good indicator

Stay off Chucks $#1t

This a note to all the whiners out there that want to critisize Chuck's weekly rankings...
First off this is not just a shot in the dark, he did the postings all last year and guess what, he is pretty close in what he see's. I'm not surprised that it is someone that wants Edina to be moved higher in the standings, go figure they have something to complain about. Why, because they beat Duluth East? It was Duluth's first game of the year, if you use that as a measuring stick than I bet the Hounds will surprise you by the end of the year.

Secondly, it is so early in the season who cares...It is simply his opinion, there is no BCS title game where if you aren't in the top two you miss out on a chance to play for the big prize. I mean come on people. Enjoy it, sure debate it, but don't get pissed because you aren't in it, or not where you want to be...I bet Bemedji and Grand Rapids will be top 10 teams by the end of the year, but do they even have their teams picked yet? I can't imagine Grand Rapids been out and playing that much yet.

Chuck keep doing what you do, most of us appreciate it.

Wow, catching a lot of heat here. Let me start by saying the score was 8-2 in the 1st Edina Centennial game two years ago, and Centennial out played them in the third period of everygame they played after that, including the region and state championship games, (not just the last 1 1/2 as you stated).

2nd this is only my opinion, I am not always right nor do I claim to be.

3rd it is the beginning of the season and some teams, especially in the north are just getting started and until they start to play will not really be on the radar.

4th, Have watched Edina, East and Wayzata Play. In my opinion East and Wayzata are better teams and I think this will shake out in the end.

5th, EP is not as good as the 07 EP team, and not even close to the 06 Centennial or Edina teams. However the rest of the state is down this year and that makes EP the dominate team they are, and will be all year. (again just my opinion)

Finally, thanks to all those that support the rankings, and those that don't it makes for good reading. Stick with me, the rankings will change as scores come in and the right teams will be on the top in the end. (EP) no I'm j/k.

Just my 2 cents.....

Chuck is 90% right with most teams, his only fault is with Duluth East (he is a DE fan), last year he gave them to much credit. This year he is doing the same...so move DE down and he would be the ranKING....

Sorry chuck...but you always said they have to prove to stay and so far they have not...

What do you guys think Ep's record is going to be at the end of the year just by looking at the games now that they played?

DE was pretty good last year

Now I admit I'm a Duluth East fan, but I live in Woodbury. I don't think you can argue with where he had DE last year. I think if you talk to the coaches they would agree they were the second best team last year. They lost to EP (who was the best team) in the semi's went on to win the third place game and bounced back the next weekend to win the VFW state tourney which by the way included EP. Now why Ep finished where they did in that tourney is neither here nor there. But I don't think you can argue DE was the second best team last year. They beat Centennial in the Regions and WBL in the third place game.

Nonetheless, Chuck's rankings are accurate yet can be debated and that is what makes it fun.

Now you don't have to come after me I'm just stating my opinion.

Sorry Duluth E didnt beat WBL in the third place game they beat Wayzata...DE and Cetennial came out of the same regional and they didnt take second at state so that would make them the third best team in 2007 argue all you want.

Chuck your doing great!

Is it true that Shakopee beat Chaska 6-3? If so, I don't think Chaska should be in the top 20.

yea, i do agree that Blaine hasn't been to hot this year, but look at the teams that they have been playing... EP, Wayzata, Shattuck, Edina.... these are teams that should beat them, and the teams that blaine should've beat, they did (rochester and duluth lakers) Bjugstad is a huge lost and will be missed terribly, but he most likely will make hs

to CNF

A few teams under the CNF radar:

Roseville: excellent showings so far
Stillwater: too much experience and team speed to ignore
Hermantown: solid team made up of returners from A and B1

No point in arguing over who is number two. I don't see that spot locked up by anyone for the whole year.

I disagree, EP's team is better than last year's. Better D, better skill and better team play makes the difference.

CNF man will have it zeroed in by mid December.

His opinion should not matter to anyone and sense of humor is terrible.

Chuck, you do a fantastic job. Keep it up!

I somewhat agree and disagree with you my2cents.

Last years Eden Prairie defense were very solid with players like Thompson. This year they also have top end defensemen like Molenaar and Rau. It is very early in the season, but this years Eden Prairie team is looking very solid. They are solid from the forwards, to the defense and goalies. Look for them to be there at the end of the season, no doubt.

On another note...
I really like the talent of this years Minnetonka team though. They will be the "D6 sleeper" and will knock off alot of top quality teams.

I wasn't at that game, I was at Fryberger watching but my understanding is Duluth was up 2 -1 and EP scored to tie it up with an empty net with 40 seconds to play. Than of course the tournament saw its 5 or 6 shootout of the weekend which Duluth scored on it's first 3 shots and EP missed all three of its shootout chances.

I also heard that overall it was a great hockey game. Duluth dominated early a little bit and EP dominated late a little bit. But like I said I wasn't at the game that is all second hand info.

I just have to say that I have been in Duluth 3 times for this tournament now and it is the best one in the state there is no question. Between the top teams that are playing and the 5 games that EVERYONE gets this tournament is hands down the best one out there.

top 20
