They're in 7AA so they must be. Bold? Flake would be bold. Anoka will be good enough to win 7AA.

Well I guess I don't know if you're bitter about the section arrangements or what but Anoka is quite obviously in the lower half of the state. With the likes of GR, Cloquet, East.. These teams are ready come playoff time every year regardless. They have some of the best coaching in the state. It won't be a cake walk for any team in that section. BUT we're in the wrong thread for that talk right now.

Thank you FSN for broadcasting high school hockey games!! No complaints here, I know they are doing the best they can to broadcast quality hockey games and I applaud them for that.

The lack of northern teams is extremely disappointing. You'd think they'd like to show teams people in the metro area don't get to see much, especially when some of them make trips up north. Obviously I'm biased, but I think it's horrible that Duluth East, which plays such an impressively difficult schedule, isn't being shown once. They play at least 10 games a year that could easily be televised, and draw a pretty good audience at the same time.

Out of your 2,600+ posts calling Anoka a northern team is your worst. I quickly read the rest and this one is Hall of Shame worthy.

Do you really not get it, or are you just playing dumb? Clearly we all realize that Anoka is the northern-most team in the state. How does the saying go...like shooting fish in a barrell

An awful lot of pissing and moaning going on here......
How about Mpls East vs Mpls West, Richfield vs Northfield, Mankato East vs Makato West.....
Get your lazy butts off the couch and drive to the rink and watch a game. Support the programs near you. They cannot televise every game and I bet no one on this board knows the process for picking the schedule.... Oh what about Lakeville North vs Lakeville South?

It is easy to see that those defending the FSN schedule on here are the ones whose teams are playing on tv.

My old HS is not on the schedule.

I just feel this isn't worth complaining about when it wasn't that long ago when we didn't have any regular season games televised at all.

Alaskans are a big demographic group for FSN North.

It seems that these metro fans think its easy to drive 200 miles away to watch a season schedule game....I completly agree, more north should be on the schedule....roseau..hermantown...more of D east....seriously...thats great that it is televised but it just doesnt seem right...up north the teams are scattered and you just cant get up and drive 4 hours to watch a game...when it could be put on FSN for all to watch...and in the metro area a half an hour you could watch 12 different games the same night

Of the 25 games on Duluth East's schedule, 13 are more than an hour from Duluth. It's not that easy.

I'm a little confused about all the confusion here. What is it that people don't understand about tv ratings/money? FSN isn't airing high school games strictly out of the goodness of their heart. A vast majority of the ad revenue they're going to sell for these games is generated from the metro - who do you think these advertisers are interested in catering to?

How do sell advertising for a Hemantown/Duluth Marshall game? Outside of us diehards nobody else cares and they make more money running an infomercial. Maybe I'm wrong but don't they have tv stations in Duluth? Why can't they carry a few games? If they made any money then they would, but they don't. Face it FSN is doing a couple of things, keeping guys they'd pay anyway busy and doing a bit of public service.

Oh, my team isn't on either but I'm not going to complain because some are and some aren't, I'm glad they're showing some games.

That's a good point. I do wish they would've at least scheduled one of the East vs Cloquet games though. Can't exactly make the game now that I'm not in Duluth anymore.

I cant complain seeing that they put Hill on twice (probably three times :D ), but I'd think people would rather see the game vs. WBL or the HM vs. Holy Angels game then the games vs. Moorehead or STA. I mean, the White Bear-Hill game is probably the biggest rivalry game in the state and would probably be the easiest to market. I really dont care though, cause I'll be squished into Aldrich at those two games anyways.

As everyone else is saying, I'd much rather watch Grand Rapids, or Hermantown, or Duluth East then Stillwater or Eagan or Buffalo :?: I dont know they picked some of the games they did.

(Tentative probably means yes if it's White Bear versus Hill or no if one of those teams loses earlier in sections which is probably pretty unlikely. I think Roseville lost a lot of seniors last year and Centenial got moved out of the section.)

B2 Network

Have any of you heard of the B2 Network? www.b2livetv.com They are a network that shows sporting events on the internet. The USHL uses it. It costs $6.00 to watch a USHL game. Texas High School sports is starting to use it. As long as the schools have the video equipment, any event will be able to be viewed. If I'm not mistaken, the teams/schools get some of the income. It is probably a tool for the future for Minnesota. The quality is less than spectacular and cable access would be better to watch in my opinion. It will all depend on how bad you will want to watch your team play.

I'll say it again. There is a lot involved to air a high school hockey game on television. There are several factors involved. Airing regular season high school games has not been around for too many years. They probably learned that they are losing a significant amount of money by airing the out-state games. I'd love to be able to watch Duluth East vs. Grand Rapids or Duluth East vs Cloquet. I am sure the FSN hockey faithful would too. But, if factors like conflicting dates and money are stopping it from happening, I have no problem with their decision. Don't you think those that advocate high school hockey at FSN wanted to see some more north games scheduled? I say give them a break.
