They do bring it when it comes to Game time, but last time I checked they are still losing and Roseau has wooped them there and Home along with Warroad, although Warroad was a little closer of a game. Also, they had an unfortunate weekend in the Roseau Holiday Classic so I hear, so before we say they are going to beat Crook, I think they should get the basics down.......
EGF is currently 0-4 against the Big 3? By season's end, they will probably be 0-7 against them.

What is that mean? I think you have no idea what you are talking about.

It is simple math. EGF is

0-2 against Roseau
0-1 against Crookston
0-1 against Warroad

currently 0-4 against the top 3 teams in the section.

EGF has 1 game left with Warroad and 1 with Crookston. If they lose both of those, and they have really done nothing to prove they can beat those teams they would be 0-6.

In the section semifinals EGF will have to play either Warroad, Roseau, or Crookston. If they lose that game they would end the season 0-7 against the "BIG" 3

Speaking of not knowing what we are talking about, the proper grammar to use would be "What does that mean" not "What is that mean." Looks like Math and English classes in EGF need to become a bit more rigorous. [/b]

It's all in fun. Some of my best friends teach in EGF. But I apologize for anyone who takes offense to anything that I said. I've got to learn to use the Emoticons. :) :) :) :) :P :P :P

It is very evident how the section shakes out. Warroad meets #1 Blake in the championship of their holiday tournament. Crookston loses a tough one in the first round of Kaposia. Then goes on to win their next two. Roseau wins their own tournament against three middle of the road teams. EGF goes 0-3 in this tournament. They were overrated before Christmas and have shown that they are not ready to compete for a section title. Defense seems to be weak and they are not scoring. Not a good sign going into the home stretch. Warroad can be beat statistically but manage to win big games. Crookston has picked things up but Lexi is still unknown for the year. Roseau is FAST and skilled. You have a 1 in 3 chance of picking the section champ at this point.

Crookston and Roseau's tie shows the balance of the top three right now. This tie may have helped Warroad gain a #1 seed. Have to see how things shake out with their final matchups. Either way, EGF would need to make some big changes to keep a semi final game even close. Congrats to the success of the top three over Christmas. Puts North on the radar.

The Tie Between Roseau And Crookston Basically showed poor goaltending. Roseau's goalie has not let any more than 4 goals in all season with the Exception of Eden Prairie. So, that game just was not her best. Every team Knows that Crookston plugs up in front of their net because of their lack of goal tending also. I am not saying she isn't great, but just not as up there on the skilled scale of the other teams. As for the seeding in the section, The tie guarantees Roseau Seeds 2 or better for sure. If Warroad loses to Roseau and Crook in the next two match ups, Roseau Will have that Number 1 seed. It should be a great next few weeks of Hockey for these ladies!

If Roseau is guarenteed at least the #2 seed does that make Crookston the guarenteed #3 seed???What about the mighty EGF Greenwave???

goaltending in the roseau game

Hockey 112 i have a hard time agreeing with you on the issue of roseau's goaltending being at it's weakest that game. I will give you the reasurance that i too believe that roseau's goaltender is good but i will also say that crookstons offense is also good. So was it really a bad game for roseau's goalie simply due to the fact that she hasn't let in that many goals in more than one other game this year or just strong offense. On the other hand crookston's goaltending seemed better than the sub par that you so fervently believe it to be. In fact Brigetta Martin seemed to play quite well and I would say she might have only let in one truely stopable goal. I would say crookstons goaltending has seemed to improve as of late. I have heard that the stillwater, hibbing, and bemidji games were all good showings for crookstons goalie. I would also add the roseau game to that list, I watched martin and she may be one to look out for at the end of the season.

PS. i hope all the best for Daniell Persson and pray she's ok it would be truely sad to see her season or career end after that awful incident durring the third period. It may have been one of the scariest ways that anyone could have gone into the boards she is truely lucky to still be around.

I must second the speedy and full recovery of D.P. She is a great hockey player who gives her all. Have heard some positive things as far as her injuries go... Sounds like she will be in good shape soon. Love, Mom

Thanks for the update sis, glad to hear things appear to be progressing well in the right direction for D.P. Any word when she might be back on the ice? Also I hear L.W. is starting to regain her strength and is fired up to get back on the ice. Any idea on when she will be back in the lineup?

Love,

Mom

Doesn't sound like D.P. will skate this weekend, but sounds like L.W. is going to give it a go.

the class A state tournament looks to be being played out in Section 8. 3 or 4 of the strongest teams in class A all in section 8.
Roseau vs. Warroad, --- hope there is a game 3, it would/should go to OT.

Where is the 8A section tournament played? Does it rotate between EGF, Warroad and TRF like the boys or neutral site?
