East is certainly making a statement.
They had a heck of a week.

1) East - clearly # 1 after beating Cent and Anoka this week (despite having 3 losses)
2) Cloquet..they beat East...but have 2 losses.. and tie with Andover drops them to #2.
3) Anoka...won 5 games fairly easily...but played like crap against Centennial and East.
4) GR - obviously a hard working team...but as their record shows..lacks high end (PW, JS) talent.
5) ER - similiar to GR but not as good.
6) Andover - A good goalie and a lot of hard working players.
7) FL
8) CI
9) SF

Grand Rapids is probably a 4 or 5 seed right now. Thing is, Grand Rapids is having almost an identical start that they've had the last two seasons. GR is missing JS and PW. But when people say that it's as if they're saying East still has Leis and CEC still has Elly and TJ. So GR missing JS and PW isn't as big a deal as some think. In AJ Underwood, Rapids might have the best goalie in 7AA. To me the most confusing team is CEC, they look like world beaters in a game like vs. East, then they get a tie at home vs. Andover. I can't fiure them out. Elk River hasn't been exactly pretty so far, but they've got some scorers and they're a team with one of the best coaches in the state with about 7.5 weeks to get ready to upset someone in the quarters. Forest Lake I bet will continue to a rollercoaster bit in 7AA the rest of the season, but they'll come into the first round of sections with a nothing to lose attitude and be a very scary opponent.

Switch Andover and Anoka around and I like it as a solid prediction of how it will go.

I'd Switch Anoka and GR..although the outcome of their game in January will decide it...Anoka has more talent than Cloquet...but the Jacks are playing far better as a team...while East currently has more depth, better D and better goaltending than Anoka

1) East
2) Jacks
3) Tornadoes
4) GR
5) ER
6) Huskies
7) FL
8. CI
9) SF

Anoka's results season long will be better in the end.
