Its great to see I Falls get such a great start and I,d love to see them win a State Title. I will have my first chance to see them Friday Jan 25 against Denfeld at Mars Lakeview Arena. It should be a great game as both teams mirror each other. In all honesty I don,t think either team is deep enough to win State Title. You have to be able to roll at least 3 pretty solid lines. These are indeed 2 of my darkhorses to have a shot. Excited to see Youso and company. Decenzo is the best player I have personally got to see so far this season. Also very excited to see Johnson and Stafne for Denfeld. I have not seen either player since last season. I see they are tearing it up again. Its great living up North and be able to watch great High School Hockey week in and week out.

Drove 3 hrs to the Falls to watch them play Hermantown. It was a fast up and down the rink game with some great hits. Both teams have a legitimate chance at state out of there respective sections. Congrats to the Falls on the 4-3 win. Youso was even better than the billing. Every time he was on the ice you almost wanted to stand. His linemates Corrin and Baldwin make for a dangerous line. The 2nd and 3rd lines are what I call lunchbucket lines. They grind every shift and came to play. They won races to loose pucks and I liked them. Defensively they also looked fairly sound. Goaltending I believe will be the key issue come playoff time for them. To get out of section 7 it will be the team with the hottest goalie. I did not see much difference between I Falls, Marshall and Hibbing. Any of these teams could advance. Had Hjelle not left I would have favored this team to win the section.

Saw Hjelle play this weekend. Enjoyed watching him. Opponents outshot his team 2-1 in first two periods. He definitely was the MVP and got a shutout.

A 3-2 victory over L.O.W. doesn't sound too impressive when you guys beat them 11-1 earlier in the year. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for ya, but what's going on with you Broncos?
