If Rapids can pull this one out (they will need superb netminding), they may have a claim at the top of 7AA. Maybe the 2 seed cuz Cloquet has a better record and they did beat East. But, if Rapids beats East and Cloquet the following weekend there would be no debate.

Kleinendorst apparently just got a double minor for something, but my call broke up, so I don't know anymore. BJ gotta be on the PP.

Was this a final?

Final 3-1 Bloomington. Wasn't at the game, but reports I got said this was a very even matchup. GR took it to them in the 3rd allowing only 3 shots, but couldn't overcome some questionable calls. Not complaining, just stating what I heard. Skrbec gets the goal for GR from Sparen and Underwood takes another hard luck loss. Always a tough place to play and the Indians can hold their heads up and take some positives away from this game. Regroup and get their heads in it as Hermantown comes to town on Tues.

Just from the score it sounds like the goaltending and defense showed up.
Gotta find a way to score a couple more each night. Keep working at it.
Still got about 6 weeks to get rollin.
Go GR. :)
Also- congrats to Jefferson.

Rapids power play really struggled in this one. They controlled a good portion of the play when playing five on five. Jefferson's O'Donnell is a nice looking player with very quick feet.

I decided to make the drive to BIG, and it was a great game. The score should have been 4-2, it was really goofy. GR hit 2 pipes (one of which I am pretty sure clipped a bit of net) and the only goal for Grand Rapids was accidentally poke in by Jefferson's Tommy Odonnell.

Jefferson scored twice on the powerplay, and Odonell beat the defense to score in the third.

Also something I had never seen before. I was behind GR's net, and a Jefferson player ripped a knuckler and it went through the back of the net! The Jefferson side went wild because it a obviously a goal. The Refs talked to Jefferson's coach and inspected the net for holes. I could see the hole, but the Refs were unable to identify it. so no goal for Jefferson there.

Both teams played great but Jefferson was deffinetely the better team last night.

Oh yea it definitely was a goal too....i was at the game and you saw the net move when the puck hit it and then went through it apprently...those jefferson kids just must be shooting the puck to hard lol......anyway it was a great game, i disagree with the statement the grand rapids controlled a majority of the play 5 on 5 though...rapids was a good physical team, moved the puck well but the Jags are talented and last night they worked hard to get the win
