Any opinion is a respectable one. Not tonight.. Can't make it. But hopefully I'll recieve updates.
1-0 EV after one. Apparently Jefferson thought this game was later than it was... Dad's at the game (got there with 5 left in the first) and said that EV controlled play handily...

Sounds like OT and a very exciting game... Jefferson has stepped it up and had opportunities to end it but could not.

4-3 Jefferson in OT. EV D sends a pass right up the middle, picked off and put away.

STEV16 hear is what I got for you:

Jefferson scores with 4.4 left in OT. Agreed O'Shea can't keep going down making him smaller, he needs to learn to stay up he is small enough as it is. EV's 1st line scores all 3 of there goals and logged lots of ice time. That's all they had going for the forwards. Neither team really did much of anything in the 1st. EV scored on a PP. Even period though noone ever gained control. 2nd Period though Jefferson came out flying and got 3 goals with good passing and sliding the puck to the middle. Why they stopped for ther rest of the game I have no clue otherwise this one could have gotten to 6-7 for the Jags. EV got 2 odd man rushes later in 2nd to make it 3-3. #11 for EV should have been kicked out for a punch in the 2nd, only got roughing call. 3rd Period. again no one controlled the game really both teams with a few chances though. OT EV centered the pass right to Jefferson player and he took it in and scored O'Shea flopped to the ground on that one as well. Ref's let alot go kinda both ways but at least it was not one sided they let the boys play maybe a little to much at times.

KEYS TO GAME:
EV-O'Shea needs to stay up, good play out of first line, they wanted it and out worked Jefferson for most of the game.
BJ-Should never have never gotten away from quick passes and getting puck to middle to slap it home, goalie played well

thanks for the updates, pretty painful to lose with 4.4 seconds left. O' Shea needs to be gone, or somethings needs to happen!!

Hockeyjunkie, newsguy35, and Stev16,

You guys are an embarrassment to hockey. Eastview and O'Shea played their ass off. Eastview was outshot and outmanned all night because of the loss of Fienage and Freidman. Maloney and Larson were great however so was Bloomington's first line. Overall great game and O'Shea totally outplayed Swansson no matter what you hacks that never played above JV want to say.

Nice career boys!!!!

What did Stev16 say? All his posts were pre-game besides one little one based off what people said he wasn't there. Did I not say one of the keys was that Eastview played hard and wanted it badly? Swansson played good and made some good saves, O'Shea needs to stay up more, was he not on the ice for all the goals? He was. I also said that EV's 1st line played well. Did you read my post after the game even?

Eastview definitely played well tonight, but the Jags did not play their best game. The second period was by far their best and they didn't even play 100% the whole time. It was, in the end, a fun game to watch and it came down to the final 5 seconds which is always exciting.

What a great game, Jefferson let eastview back into that game letting them get those two breakaway goals. If the Jags would have played the whole game like the 2nd period the game wouldn't have been close...the jags lost a heatbreaker similar to this about week and a half ago but know they know how it feels to take a game like this

Alot of negative talk about O'Shea but it seemed they lost this game for other reasons than him. Sounded like he stopped quite a few quality Jefferson opportunities....

O'Shea played a pretty solid game. His size, which nobody should let get to them, might be a disadvantage but he seems to do a good job of working around it.

O'Shea played a good game. Jefferson's 1st goal was a beatiful backdoor play that he really had no chance on. The 2nd goal was a weird one. Lots of guys cluttered in the crease. The call could of gone either way, ending up in BJ's favor. I don't really remember the 3rd goal, but I believe it was a scrum in front and the puck squirted out to a wide open Jefferson player. As for the 4th goal, this was definitely #11 Joe Peters fault. He blindly threw the puck right up the middle. Jefferson forward picked it off at the blue for a 2 on 1. Peters slid across to block the pass leaving O' Donnell alone. O' Shea was sliding across to cover the shot, but O' Donnell made the right choice and was patient, cutting across the middle and putting the puck away. Overall, it was a good game to watch, very entertaining.

I was down on the end for Jefferson's 3 goals and the 1st one I thought O'Shea should have gotten a stick on it as it came across his crease through it was in front of him, tough play to poke it but I thought he could of tried but yes a great pass to set it up. 3rd goal was a no look pass from a Jefferson player just trying to put it to the middle then a little scrum, O'Shea reached to try and cover and a few seconds later it popped in.

The second goal I agree wierd it looked like a EV Defender checked a Jefferson player into O'Shea which kinda took him out of the play for that one. Alot of people aroudn the crease like you said and some bodies on the ground.

I was very impressed with O'Donell tonight he played very well.

I was at the game tonight, and it was scrappy to say the least. Eastview WORKED Jefferson the 1st, Jefferson Dominated the first half of the Second, and then it was a sluff off for the third.

Oshea did a good job tonight, he got some shots put in that was more defense error than his, same thing with swansson. Each team had two goals that were MAJOR defensive error.

Eastview played very hard, and Jefferson obivously did not play as hard. I thought Jefferson played much smarter hockey and was the better team, but they could not catch a pass to save a life. I think Eastview did a great job tonight and should keep their heads up.

Eastview looked a top team that I have seen play this year. Jefferson is doing the same thing I feel Edina is. They have yet to release their full potential. If Jefferson give it 110% I think they could do VERY well.

i think a lot of people need to stop ripping on o'shea. he's a young goalie in a tough conference, taking the jags to O.T. is pretty good in my book. i think he will be just fine in the goal for the lightening. if people want to say anything negative about eastview, they should talk about probably their two best players getting suspended from a huge conference game. it's very possible eastview could've pulled if off in O.T. with those two.

I agree....EV might not have needed OT if those players had their heads straight...

I agree, but the IF's dont get the W's. As for ripping Oshea, he is a young goalie who was thrown to the wolves. I do not feel he is the answer to the goaltending problems and quite frankly, when ppl start putting him on a list for best goalie it makes me wonder what kind of kool-aid they are on. EV did outplay Jefferson for a good 2/3 of the game. Still, Oshea needs to learn how to play to his assets and stop with his weakness'. Believe it or not, I am rooting for EV but am baffled by their never ending goaltending problems. Last I remember they sent their kids to Stauber, are they not learning anything or what?

I think that if EV had those two players, they would of put the game away in regulation. And on O Shea, I'm not going to sit here and bash him now, but last year he struggled, and this year I don't see a lot of improvement. I know he is young, and I hope he gets better, but I feel like someone else should get a shot just to see what happenes (I know Krob has struggled also, JV goalie??)... they have nothing to lose, everyone know's EV's tending is weak. Oh well, too bad the game ended the way it did... 4.4 seconds has gotta be tough.
