I think Hopkins a good chance in this one. Everyone (including me) expected Minnetonka to blow them out.

4-3 Hopkins in OT.

Edina:1
Hopkins:2

7-2 Hornets - bold call

I'll make a bold prediction. Many people thought Edina would romp in most games and they are starting to have some one-sided wins over decent teams.

6-1 Brainerd, 8-2 Wayzata - with a 3-2 win over improving Centennial in between.

For some reason the Hornets haven't yet notched a shutout so I won't call for one here, but I will go out on the limb and take Edina 7-2 over Hopkins.

Obviously they have an excellent goaltender so it won't be easy to get 7. The depth of Edina may wear out Hopkins.

Hopkins isn't the real deal. The only thing they have going for them is there goaltending. They were outshot against tonka something like 50-20 and outplayed the entire game; they clearly can't skate with the top teams in state. Fons can't stand on his head every game. My Prediction, Edina wins 5-1.

Edina fo Sho. Hopkins only beat Delano 3-2. If you haven't noticed Delano isn't too good.

They did beat a good Mtka Team. Still Edina should win easy 4-0

Would't be sad if Edina lost to a team that is led in scoring by a player that was Pee Wee hockey last season? Travis Boyd an 8th grader is the REAL DEAL. I heard that Mike Fink came back to Hopkins and he's going to play on Saturday (I'm kidding, but won't that be fun!).

Hopkins has plenty of talent, they are just very young.

I would say that minnetonka should buy the hopkins goalie a new chest protector, that being said I don't think that hopkins is ready to lose just yet. My prediction is hopkins 4-2 with Skalbek having 2 goals.

Everyone should keep in mind, Edina has an outstanding goalie who is very competitive.

One more thing that adds to the Hopkins Vs. Edina storyline is that Hopkins' Head Coach Nyberg is also a high school Science teacher at Edina. I'm guessing Chad has taught or is currently teaching a few of the Edina players.

Too bad it wasn't the old days and he could crack a ruler over their knuckles for some perceived rule violation...

Following the 5:00 p.m. girls game of Edina-Hopkins (so around 7:00) The game is at Braemar, home of the Hornets.

Should I be concerned about getting a seat at this one?

Any recommendations from the Braemar regulars e.g. get there by 6:30, drop by and get a ticket at 5:30 etc...?

I'm thinking the girls JV and Varsity and the boys JV and Varsity are at different rinks within Braemar because they slated for the same times. The boys' Edina-Hopkins JV is at 5pm. Usually, that's where I find a good seat for varsity.
The way I understood it was the two JV games would be on the another rink and the two Varsity games would be on the big sheet. Maybe I heard wrong, or understood wrong.
