how about in the later 90s and early 2000s when Cathedral would just ice the puck all game and hope for a bounce...

As a non-biased observer of the game I dont know about that.....3 of Techs goals were scored off of a deflection by an Apollo player and obviously the empty net goal, not saying it means anything now but minus the fluke goals (which i know happens in hockey) its a 3-1 Apollo victory.

IMO the better team definitely won because even though the goals really weren't coming for Tech, they still controled alot of the game and you can't always base who the better team is just by the score. Their goals may have been lucky but I still feel the better team ended up on top.

According to the man keeping score...Apollo had more quality chances than Tech. http://www.rinkwriter.com/mac/apollo_08_01_10.pdf

The game looked pretty even from where I was sitting. Both teams had their fair share of good scoring chances.

Tech got lucky in this game, dont deny it. Sure they might be a better team, but not by much. Apollo shoulda taken it 3-1.. just bad bounces/deflections
