All three are playing on Saturday. The article is wrong.

That makes sense that they are only missing the one game. I've never heard of a game misconduct and having to sit out two games.

A game msconduct is a game and game penality. ( the game you are in plus the next game.) or 2 games. If the penality occured after the end of regulation, it could be the next 2 games. that may well be what hapened in this case.

It seems that nobody is really sure if they are sitting out 2 full games or just one. I guess we'll just have to wait and see Saturday night.

Actually, (I'm not positive on this) I think it is two games out. What I remember back from 1998 in the state consolation semifinals between Edina and White Bear, there was a fight at the end of game and two players from Edina missed the consolation championship game and two from White Bear missed at least the first game of the following season.

Anybody know for sure on the official ruling?

I am possitive they will be playing saturday. The refs counted the Woodbury game as a game so Hastings will count as their second game. I have talked to the players on the team and they will be playing saturday. Although, just being honest, it is Moundsview so hopefully it won't matter much..

I trust that the squad isn't looking past Hastings or MV. Both are capable.

Well they definitly didn't look past Hastings. It does seem sometimes that they get cocky and over look teams when they think they should win. It happened against Park and even Roseville. I don't know why they felt so confident against a team like Roseville but they did. Hopefully they will come out to play against Moundsview and beat them like they should.

were you there?

Also - I dunno how many times I can state that the fact that Woodbury didn't get anything for their participation in the brawl, is a load of crap. Someone should explain to me why the suspensions were so lopsided. Granted, more of our players were involved but still, at least a suspension or two should have been tossed to the Royals.
i was there white bear clears the bench and then the goalie comes over and jumps on a guy ? come on now and woodbury was just trying to get there guys out

Woodbury was not just trying to get there guys out. They had players that wanted to come over and jump in after their frusturating loss. And White Bear also had a lot of kids being held back their bench was no where near being cleared. Its over and done with but it is a little ridiculous that no one from Woodbury got suspended.

Woodbury is just too inconsistent to win this conference. I think it will come down to WB having a one or two game lead over them going into the last game of the year, which I believe WB should win. The Bears are looking very good as of late and won't have any more "Park games."

Is Dane Erickson hurt. I don't think he played against the White Bear. When I saw Woodbury earlier in the year their 2nd line with Erickson was as good as the Eddy line. I really like Walker Hyland on D as well. Is he a sophmore?

I'm not sure what's going on with Erickson, but, yes, Hyland is a sophomore.

Woodbury lost a good forward Dane Erickson (broken thumb) in yesterdays game against Eagan. Should still have enough firepower to take care of SSP...6-3 Royals.
